Throughout human history, (and possibly before -- we don't know how far back what we call "consciousness" goes), there have been those few who have come to the conclusion that there is more to the Universe than we can perceive through our normal five senses. These are the Mystics, the Shamen, the Visionaries, the Prophets. These people have existed in every human culture, and in every Aeon, epoch, era, and time. Universally, they have claimed to have traveled to other worlds, and to have been contacted by spiritual or otherworldly beings. The messages received in these communications were then delivered by the Prophets or Mystics to the people for the benifit of mankind.

Now, humans being what they are, don't like challenges to their authority. So the ruling powers, in each culture, and in each epoch of history, have the problem of the mystic to deal with. There are two solutions to this -- the one is to declare the mystic to be a madman, lable them as insane, call them a heretic, or accuse them of Witchcraft or commerce with Evil Spirits. Discredit them, isolate them, banish them, and either ignore them or kill them. The other solution is to take their message, wrap it up in dogma, surround it in ritual, seperate it as far as possible from the ecstatic experience that generated it, and call it Religion. In a religion, the mystic is put up on a pedestal, so that no "normal person" could ever even think of aspiring to the same types of experiences. Their message is twisted to fit a political agenda, and what was intended to liberate Humankind is used as a way of enslaving us. The Priests become the intermediaries between the people and the gods, and the potential destabalizing effect of the Prophet is neutralized.

Now, I belive that we are transitioning into the next coming Aeon, Age of Aquarius, New Age, Aeon of Horus, New Jerusalem, whatever you want to call it. This New Aeon will be marked by direct personal experience. We all have the potential to become our own Prophets, and to figure our own spiritual destinies out for ourselves.

What are these spirit beings that are trying to guide the course of our history? Are they angels? Aliens? Faeries? Beings from another star system? Beings from another dimension? Spirits of the Dead? Gods? Demons? Figments of our imaginations? Drug-induced hallucinations? The personification of our Collective Unconscious? Does it really matter? While these entities have been defined and interpreted differently throughout the ages, the experience of them continues to this day. Alien abduction, fairy abduction, experiences with Angels -- when you look closely at the folklore, you find startling things in common in all of these experiences. Whoever these beings are, they have always been with us, and they are most likely the same.

My cat never drinks out of either of his water bowls, he prefers the toilet for some reason. But when the lid is down he'll wait outside the bedroom until either me or my boyfriend comes out and he'll meow and run towards the bathroom, making sure we are following. Another example is when my mom's cat is being harassed by the dog she'll stare up at me and meow until I shoo the dog away from her. I believe they can communicate on an intellectual level, animals are much smarter than people think.

no this is not a whacked out answer. however, there is no evidence that there r angels from the sirius star system and there is no evidence aganist, so possibly u can be very correct. really if the universe is soooo big then there really is angels trying to communicate with us but we're not realizing it.

Angels are spirits who live in heaven, and possibly on Earth when God tells them to intervene with things down here. In the bible, angels communicated directly with people (i.e. showing up to tell Mary she was pregnant). If one wanted to tell you something, you'd know.

So it' s just a whacky idea to me.
