It is so sad to read that everyone else is giving their own interpretation of the Bible.
I cannot even find in the Bible that we are to give our own interpretation.
What I found in the Bible is "the Church is the pillar and foundation of truth." The Church, not a book, not anything else.
If each and everyone else consider themselves "the Church", why is it that we have different interpretation.
My dear friends, there is only One Church that can give us the truth. May we all find this one!

Forget what people say, what does the Bible say, John 3:3, Jesus says except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of heaven. Born Again, Jesus says to Marvel not about those words, to be born again we must admit we are a sinner, Romans 3:23, for all have sinned and have come short of the glory of God, we must be willing to confess, and must be willing to admit that Jesus arose from the grave, if you believe all that you can be born again, just pray this prayer of faith, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

James is just saying faith that produces no good behaviour cannot be genuine faith - genuine faith should produce fruit in due time.
The principle that salvation is by faith is in letters such as Romans and Galatians - it is extremely clear that salvation is by God's grace through faith. Also the gospel of John teaches the principle very clearly.
John 3:16 God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that all who BELIEVE in Him may not perish but have eternal life.
Galatians 2:21 I will not nullify the grace of God; if righteousness came through the Law Christ died for nothing.
Galatians 3:26 It is through faith that we are sons of God in union with Christ Jesus.
Galatians 3:21-31 Paul uses example of Sarah and Hagars' sons to illustrate those who try to attain righteousness through faith, and those through the Law (through faith is God's way, religion uses the legalistic approach.)
Romans 3:23 For all alike have sinned, and are deprived of God's glory [Popes, other 'good' people, you and me] and all are justified by God's free grace alone....shwoing that He himself is just and justifies anyone who puts faith in Jesus
Romans 5-8 show that righteousness in behaviour also comes through faith and the strengthening by the Holy Spirit - walking through the * help of the Spirit * not by legalistic attempts to fulfil lists of good behaviour - that approach is often be presented in churches of many denominations and other religions but is not New Testament biblical.

I'll take a stab at your question: "Why do you believe in the trinity when the word "trinity" is not in the Bible?
I don't believe in the trinity because the CONCEPT of the trinity is not in the Bible.
Bottom line: HOW can you believe in something that you can't find in the Bible?
According to the trinity details of the Athanasian Creed, the Bible must have CONCRETE evidence of a trinity. For instance, the AC says: "So the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Ghost is God. And yet they are not Three Gods, but One God." WHERE do you find this concept in the Bible?
The AC says: "So likewise the Father is Lord, the Son Lord, and the Holy Ghost Lord. And yet not Three Lords but One Lord." WHERE does the Bible say this?
The AC says: "The Father Eternal, the Son Eternal, and the Holy Ghost Etneral and yet they are not Three Eternals but One Eternal." WHERE in the Bible does it say that?
The AC says: "And in this Trinity none is afore or after Other, None is greater or less than Another, but the whole Three Persons are Co-eternal together, and Co-equal." WHERE in the Bible does it say that the Father, Son, and the holy spirit are co-equal and co-eternal?
If anything, one of the last features of the trinity doomed the entire trinity concept. The AC says about the trinity: "NONE is greater or less than another." Jesus directly contradicted that statement by saying: "The Father is GREATER than I am." So at the time Jesus uttered those words, WHERE was the trinity then? NOWHERE!

Is this supposed to prove the false catholic doctrines? The Biblical concepts that you spoke of were just that...concepts. No one argues that something does not exist simply because there is no "word" in the Bible that says it does. The argument against each catholic doctrinal belief that you wrote about is false because they are AGAINST Biblical teaching. Prayer through anyone OTHER THAN CHRIST is futile and an act ofUNDUE reverence. Mary is not the mother of God. Jesus existed prior to his human birth. False doctrine #1. Peter was not the first Pope. This is not established ANYWHERE Biblicically. He was a disciple of Jesus Christ. Plain and simple. We are all disciples of Christ if we have faith in Him. The Pope is no greater than you or I. They are not infallible. If you know your Church history, you would know that this belief was not enacted until the middle ages for political purposes. Please search the Scriptures for your answers. Not tradition.

Oooo! I know the answer to one of those!
the 27 books in the Bible comes from 2 Esdras - which is itself non-canonical, not of the 27 books. Kind of a paradox.

Now you all know how religion is the basis for most of the wars in human history.
What you believe or don't believe doesn't really matter to anyone but you.
If we all practiced our faith in the home and church where it belongs and stop trying to prove "who has the biggest one", there would be no wars.....and the world would be a much better place.

In regards to your last question: How does James 2 line up and not contradict Romans 9:30-32 (What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; but Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it. Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the "stumbling stone.")? Because JUSTIFICATION is not the same as SALVATION. If it was then how does Ephesians 2:8-9 not contradict James 2?
Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
Romans 3:21-26 But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
Romans 4:1-5 What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather, discovered in this matter? If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about—but not before God. What does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."
Now when a man works, his wages are not credited to him as a gift, but as an obligation. However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.
v.13-16 It was not through law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith. For if those who live by law are heirs, faith has no value and the promise is worthless, because law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression.
Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.
EDIT: Whats with the thumbs down? Because I used Scripture??

1. I have never heard anyone say the word "pope" is not in the Bible, therefore you should not have a pope.
HOWEVER, Matthew 23:9 says "And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven."
Yet you call priests "father" and the pope "holy father".
2. Your Catechism says: ""The witnesses who have preceded us...those whom the CHURCH RECOGNIZES as saints...They contemplate God, praise him and constantly care for those whom they have left on earth. Their intercession is their most exalted service to God's plan. We can and should ask them to intercede for us and for the whole world." Pg. 645, #2683 (See also Pg. 249, #956)"
and ""Exactly as Christian communion among our fellow pilgrims brings us closer to Christ, so our communion with the saints joins us to Christ..." Pg. 249-250, #957"
Yet Matthew 18:19 says "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven."
Wonder why God would think it was SO important to add the words "on earth"? And we won't even go into the fact that in Romans Paul says that all who are beloved of God are "saints"....yet the Catholic Chuch begs to differ, and stipulates only SOME as saints.
I guess you guys know more than God.
3. Your Catholic Encyclopedia says ""Christ...commanded that his bloody sacrifice on the Cross should be daily renewed by an unbloody sacrifice of his body and blood in the Mass under the simple elements of bread and wine." (vol. 10, pg. 13)
First, PLEASE give me the chapter and verse where Jesus "commands" this.
Yet Matthew 26 and Corinthians 11 say CLEARLY that this is a REMEMBRANCE. A MEMORIAL. You say you are literally eating Christ's flesh and blood, yet God says in Genesis 9:4, Leviticus 17:11-12, and Acts 15:29, that we are NOT to eat flesh and blood.
4. As for your comments about Christianity I am going to dismiss them as not worth responding to, except that regarding works, since it is a key reason I do not accept the Catholic faith.
You quote James out of context. The whole passage says:
"What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds."
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.
You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,"and he was called God's friend. You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. "
The point of the scripture is to say that if you have faith, it will be proven in the fact that your faith EVIDENCES itself in your behavior. It does you no good to say you love everyone when you don't ACT like you love everyone.
Ephesians 2:8-9: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Romans 4:5 "But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness."

I dont get why anyone thinks they have any more authority then the other to proclaim this is the truth and if you dont believe it then you arent a christian.
Dont get me wrong, I think anyone has the authority to proclaim their church is correct and the truth, but you cant turn around and use that as your reasoning for why everyone else doesnt have any more right to proclaim the same thing.
Every church thinks theirs is the right one. Every church has their own interpretations of the Bible. No church as any more authority to proclaim that if people dont believe like them then they arent christian. Why do they get to decide who a christian is?
