No. The purpose of Temple of the Dog was to pay tribute to the late Andrew Wood, the lead singer of Mother Love Bone.

Say Hello To Heaven was a great song. If I recall correctly, that was dedicated to the lead singer of Mother Love Bone, who died from a heroin OD.
