Sometimes in the Spanish Catholic Church, a person undergoes confirmation immediately after birth, but other times, it's delayed until their teenage years. How old do you have to be to get confirmed in Spain? Can anyone tell me a little bit about confirmation as well?

But why do YE creationists only think dinosaurs lived with people? There's billions of other species that existed in other geologic time periods! Do you "think: these species never existed? Then why all the fossils?
Do you "think" that these billions of species co-existed with all the all the modern animals that we have today before the 'Great Flood'?

Please tell me what you guys "think"! And here's a list of the other geologic periods where millions of species existed.

I am in a criminolgy class and we were having an online discussion about the death penalty. One of my classmates expressed that they are a minister and I commented that maybe our difference in beliefs might be the reason we disagree with the topic. I am a non-believer. I was only pointing out that now that I know her beliefs, I understand why she feels the way she does. (That God forgives everyone).

This was the response I got.....do you think it was insulting? What do you think of her response to me?

becuase my friend said they do, and i do believe them becuase once i do something bad, i dont remember, becuase i get pissed off easily and once i do something bad, i lose control, and once that bad thing i did is over, i get control again and i dont remember what happened or anything, are they real, inside us humans? and can they be released? please help me

I just met this girl, and we seemed to really click. I'm just bad at getting things started when it comes to friends. (I'm not lez, I have a boyfriend, just not good at the whole social scene). Out of your experience, what would you consider the first "hang out" session to be? I'm 27(yea, that's sad, I have no social skills at 27). I don't beleive getting drunk is proper etiquett when you first meet someone, and I don't beleive inviting them to your home, our their home is proper either. What do you suggest I should do for entertainment? (In case you're wondering, I've suffered from social anxeity for years, and I'm trying to fight it), so any suggestions you have please let me know. Thanks! I really need a girls night out!

This is a serious question, not a malicious one.

It seems to me that many atheists (not all) hold science to be the only form of genuinely true knowledge. Science in this case being that which can be measured, weighed, observed, tested, etc. (Philosophically it is called empiricism).

However, it seems to me that those whom claim this are not aware of the contradiction they are making. To claim: "science is the only valid or true form of knowledge" is not itself scientific claim. We cannot put the value of scientific knowledge itself "under a microscope" as it were. We cannot evaluate the value of scientific knowledge itself, in any material way. Don't those whom hold that scientific knowledge is the only valid form onf knowledge necessarily exclude the value of scientific knowledge by their strict restriction of "valid" or "true" knowledge?
