Just as in the days of Noah. Luke 17:26, Moreover, just as it occured in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of man. Jehovah closed the doors of the arch. Once God closes the door in our day that will be it. To late for those who who cry out, wait a minute.

discern whether or not the Lord really closed the door.

"what He opens no man can shut" - that's like.... if you pray for an open door concerning a job. you get the job. so then you believe that God will see to it that no one can conspire and scheme to get you fired.
but be sure that you are not lazy and blame others if the employer fires you for laziness.

"what He shuts no man can open" - that's like. what part of your life you put to rest... an unjustified accusation against you. then this is a promise that God will not allow that matter to be resurrected against you likes its some halloween zombie that wont die and stay dead.
.

find out what God's will is concerning your situation. then you will have more confidence concerning God opening the door.

look at the "open door" scriptures and see if they apply for you.
.

be sure you are ready to walk through the door once its open.

Well, you could just simply accept it. But, prayer and fasting is always the best. It really depends on what door and what you did to have him close it.

Remember the story of David and his affair. The child grew sick and David tore his clothes and prayed fervently to God to spare his child. No food or beverage passed his lips while his child lived. When the door shut permanently on his child he got up, cleaned up, strengthened himself with food, and lived for the Lord.

You do not, dear. That is why He closes doors. And by the way, the bible says when God closes a door, no man can open it. Do not try to subtravert God's will, you will do yourself no good.

Whatever sources of mercy Allah lays open for mankind -there is none to withhold them; and whatever of such sources He withholds, there is none who can release them after that; and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

Holy Quran

It often happens that God endows a servant with a grace that he does not expect. It also happens that one hopes for something while his goodness is in its opposite. It also may happen that one is running for his doom, while he goes slowly for his goodness.
