An elderly woman decided to prepare her will and
told her preacher she had two final requests.
First, she wanted to be cremated, and second,
she wanted her ashes scattered over Wal-Mart.
"Wal-Mart?" the preacher exclaimed.
"Why Wal-Mart?"
"Then I'll be sure my daughters visit me twice a week"

Seems to be too true to be funny, but it is funny.

I honestly don't know what to believe anymore when it comes to that doctrine and I'm honestly starting not to care anymore as I am starting to lose interest. Does it matter what the belief or non belief in the trinity is a person has? Does that honestly lead to salvation or is it by faith in Jesus Christ and the acceptance of his sacrifice on the cross?

The Great Flood killed and fossilized every lifeform that didn't make it on the boat. So why are there no uniforn, satyr and giant fossils?

"Well some lifeforms don't always fossilize!"

Yes I agree!

So isn't it hypocritical that creationists say that there's holes in the fossil record when there's the same holes in the fossil in regards to the unicorns, satyrs and giants? There can't be every fossil of every lifeform that ever existed because there's a better chance you'd win the lottery than having something fossilized.

Please don't say that unicorns were mistranslated and it actually means rhinoceroses and satyrs means male goats and still think that DRAGONS were actually DINOSAURS.

I am conducting a search to see how many non-muslims knew these things about muslims:

1) That they worship only one God not Muhammad
2) That muslims believe in a chain of prophets starting with Adam and including Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Job, Moses, Aaron, David, Solomon, Elias, Jonah, John the Baptist, and Jesus, and ending with Muhammad, peace be upon them.
3) That the Qur'an was not written by Muhammad and was the word of God.

So how many non-muslims knew these 3 things about islam ?

Before anyone says anything about it being "only a theory" read what a scientific theory is here:

http://atheism.about.com/library/FAQs/evo/blfaq_sci_theory.htm

Before you in any way say because it contradicts other laws, if it did that it could not have EVER become a theory.

Before you link any site like answersingenesis.org realize they are neither peer reviewed and they are constantly debuked.

Before you say micro is true and macro isn't you should realize that they are the same mechanism.

Before you say anything else about it being false please explain to me why you believe DNA, Organ donations, flu vaccines, and immunity to hiv.

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/evolution/library/10/4/l_104_05.html

Before you go on about intelligent design, it failed as a hypothesis so that wouldn't apply either.

that your church is infallible? After all, Catholics don't see anything wrong with Catholicism, so how do you know you aren't blinded to your flaws by the strength of your faith?

Some people are too rash, judging other people on his or her actions or words without any proof that the person is the way he or she is. Some people think after reading or hearing what that person says that he is emo, snooty, or mean. They simply do not think that maybe that person isn't what he is on the surface. I'm just putting this up because I did a favor for a friend and put up his poem and everyone answers with " I'm gonna have nightmares now!" or " It was horrible, your friend is way too emo!". I'm just pissed off on how people are so dense, they can't see how a person is by only looking on how he acts. For example my friend is funny and nice and just because he made a poem that was in rememberance of one of the family members that had died a couple of months back he is now considered emo!! I can't believe some of the people on this site!! How can you be so mean??!!

Please be specific with names of organizations and places I could help out at. Also this community service has to be "learning" so something like helping out at a library or park or retirement would probably not help. Thanks guys!

If you do something good than something good happens to you, if you do something bad then something bad happens to you right? But what if you only do something good because you want to be rewarded? For example, I help an elderly neighbor cut his lawn because I want to ace a test. How does it work then?

Those tv Christian evangelists like Benny Hinn and such. I find it impossible not to think they're just out for money. Isn't it written in the Bible that it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven?

Hi there,

I'm looking for some Bible passages that talk about humans being generally good or being born good, and the Bible page information (Ex. Genesis 3:4-7).

Thank you in advance!

I'm Christian, and I'm also learning how to speak French. I'd like to incorporate my spiritual life with the language I'm learning how to speak. Since I'm not a native speaker, let alone fluent, my question is whether to use the "tu" or the "vous" form when addressing God. Thanks a lot.

Okay basically I'm friggen p1ssed. My parents well my mom is an overly obsessed jesus freak and I go pregnant. I'm 14. I'm 8 weeks and finally got the guts to tell them and she acted like a complete and total @$$!!! It makes me want to lean towards abortion almost. I kind of want to keep the baby but I want to weigh my options out carefully because I actually want a succesful future. I'm more agnostic then Christian okay I'm not Christian. Still exploring other religions. She even bought a bunch of baby clothes to try an "seal the deal" I feel so guilty. Why don't they let it stay between us and God instead then? Total hypocrites!

the above quote is what a christian posted as an answer to a previous question. well i think there is an scientific explaination for imaginery concepts such as love and hate and right and wrong. like many other animals, humans are a social species. we survive by living in groups and co-operating. we care for one another as it aids our survival and therefore concepts of right and wrong developed as we evolved. a mother cat cares for its kittens not because it is a good cat, but because its built in its genes. a fish however may not care for its offspring and never see them again after they are born. that doesnt mean its a bad fish, its just that caring for the survival of other fish isnt in its genes. christians - could there not be a logical scientific explanation for our concepts of what is good/bad right/wrong? why do we need god to tells us how to treat one another? perhaps such ideas are just imaginery concepts inbuilt into the human condition through evolution?
