When I first heard that hymn "Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?" I decided to remain a "Pagan".
Do you know how stick and stinky being washed in blood is?
Guess that why so many Christians see nothing wrong with a blood-bath, they've never actually experienced one.

The lamb is the one who made the complete sacrifice for us. The lamb of God. This is Jesus. He was the lamb. Just like a lamb he was led to be slaughtered for our sins. The completely innocent and Holy One. He has the power to open the book because He was slain and because He is without sin. Hope this helps. God bless.

The lamb in Revelation 5:6 is Jesus. 2Cor 5:7 '. . .Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us. . . ' And he is also reffered to as the 'Lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the world' John 1:29.
In the previous verse in Revelation, the angel says that the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the Root of David, was the one that could open the book. These also can mean none other than Jesus. To understand the prophetic books of the Bible, i.e. Daniel and Revelation, you need to understand the rest of the Bible first. It's very easy, in most cases, to understand Daniel and Revelation if you have a proper understanding of all the other books in the Bible.

Okay. Ewww. I think you are on to something. The only pet mentioned in the Bible that I have seen is the one Nathan tells David about after David has committed murder. He talks about this lamb being raised just like one of the children and then it is confiscated by another king. I'm too lazy to look up the verses. Anyway, Christ as the Lamb is said to be the one "slain from the beginning". ~ A pet theory of mine.

Jesus is the Lamb of God. He was the sacrificial Lamb, slain as a sacrificial offering to take away men's sins. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that we should not die but have everlasting life. The Book is the Book of Life where my name and all Chritians' names are written. The Book can only be opened by Jesus because the only way to everlasting life is through Jesus for he is the Way, the Truth, and the Light.

It is Christ.
Joh 1:36 And looking at Jesus walking, he said, Behold, the Lamb of God!
1Pe 1:18 knowing that not with corruptible things, silver or gold, were you redeemed from your worthless way of life handed down from your fathers,
1Pe 1:19 but with precious blood of Christ, as a lamb without blemish and without spot,
Rev 5:11 And I saw, and I heard a sound of many angels around the throne, and the living creatures, and the elders, and their number was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands,
Rev 5:12 saying with a great voice, Worthy is the Lamb having been slain to receive the power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.

The lamb represents Jesus Christ. He was slain on the torture stake and his Father has given him the power, or authority to open the book because of his faithfulness.

the lamb represents Jesus. he was slain for our sins. before in the old testaments men had to sacrifice lambs on an alter for sins but when Jesus died we no longer need to offer a sacrifice for sins. when you have sex that is laid not slain.

slain lamb...is referring to a sacrifice, might be a symbolic scripture about Jesus (slain on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins... giving Him (Jesus) the power to give salvation to all who believe (John 3:16)). The book may refer to the book of life (all who believe in Jesus as their Savior are written in the book of life....
I don't think it has do w/ virgins...

Lamb = Jesus
Sacrifice = Death on Cross
Remember - absolutely nothing in the Bible can be interpreted as referring to sex, even sex refers to something else. Except, of course, for seed spilling and "bed"
