It saddens me that some very deserving people are denied time with the children due to just trying to survive. But the sadder situation is the children that have time and money but are selfishly living in the moment of self. Self gratification, no appreciation for the love and sacrifice those that reared them.
Not everyone deserves the the time, attention and love that they receive.
But it is not for me to judge. I just know from having lost so many family members that there does come a day it is too late.
Better to live with no regrets.
I truly believe what we send out comes back to us eventually. Perhaps not always in this life on earth.
Some times your friends are in all actuality your immediate family.
Be blessed by friends who adore you Gold Wing. Your children don't know what they are missing.

The busiest time of life for our kids is when they are in their late 30's to mid 50's. That 20 years is the years when they usually have their own teens, marital issues, career changes, health issues of their own, while we as their parents are going through our aging issues.
I can certainly believe this wal-mart joke is probably pretty true. And for another thing, sometimes some olders aren't real nice to be around and create a lot of stress for their kids and families so they probably are not getting the visitations they want.
At any rate, I think this joke is as funny as it is because it has so much truth in it and I think everybody recognizes that and laughs.

It is a cute joke, but I know in a lot of cases it's all to true. Many folks at the nursing home I visit have family, they just never come to see them. It's just so sad and sometimes they are aggravated with the kids, sometimes they make excuses for them.
I'm so glad my daughter calls me often and though we don't live near each other we get together whenever we can. My mom and I are the same way.

LOL, that was funny! A lot of good answers too!
Heck, I haven't heard from my eldest son in 10 yrs., my youngest son in 2, and my daughter is now, "kinda busy". [NO, WAIT..... maybe that's a 'good thing'!]
Parents gone, sis is gone, brother is mentally ill in a 'nursing home'.
I guess that leaves me with my ol' buzzard hubby! [and I'm the cooked goose] LOL! I personally don't care if my kids remember me or not, I have the memories from when they were "precious". We all live our own lives.
I'd probably leave any $$ to a nice non-profit animal shelter. Animals don't have conditions for love...they just keep on giving and making your day. They don't even care about birthdays, me being ugly, my 'forgetfulness' or snoring!
You have a good day!

You should all do that in the US. Wal-Mart needs to be covered in ashes. From what I read about them. Insisting that if products like Gillets Razors and blades and a host of other products have to have micro chips in them. Seniors, change your will. GW you are on the ball tonight. Is it night in CA?

Well I know my parents want to be cremated when they pass on. They want me to do what I want with their ashes. They have requested no funeral.
As they have told me, when they die, call the crematory and advise of the death. They then come to the house and pronounce them deceased. Their body is then taken to the crematory. Then the crematory is to call me when the ashes are ready to be picked up.
I am the only one left since the death of my brother. I do live right beside my parents. So I see them every day, unless I am sick and then I stay away from them as I don't want them to get what I have.
Your are right though, it is sad when your kids and grand kids never come to see you. The one thing that nobody should ever do is take your parents or grand parents for grant as you never know how long they are going to be with you.

That "tank" is a ways too small to have a heater in it :( A heater should not be located in something decrease than 5g (fish should not be the two nevertheless). you may look into a minimum of a 5g tank. A betta desires a heater and a small clear out which will help shop circulating yet no longer create lots of a contemporary. additionally, in case you're utilising faucet water and are utilising "city water" or a shared nicely verify you cope with the water to do away with chlorine and different chemical ingredients through fact they could make the fish very sick and maximum in all probability die. Sorry regarding the fish. they could have been ill already. maximum puppy shops do no longer take outstanding care of them mutually as they're crammed into those tiny cups. in case you purchase yet another, watch the fish for awhile, do no longer purely %. one out through fact that's exceedingly looking. they are not going to be very energetic or happy needless to say yet you are able to look for a great form of indications of ailment nevertheless by potential of watching them for somewhat. there are various web content online the place you will hit upon information approximately setting up and biking a tank in the previous you upload a fish (which will help advance their survival value by potential of plenty!) besides as all varieties of betta care assistance. good success!

That's what we get when we have children...payback for something that we did to our own parents, perhaps? It's sad, yet funny. What will happen if Wal Mart closes> Perhaps the freeway would be a better place to scatter your ashes! I wanna go in the mountains & let the animals eat my carcuss. Why waste a good meal?

Cute story...
My late ex kept our kids from me so I spent their inheritance on a couple of computers and someone can bury my veteran body in a whole in a National cemetery with no fanfare or ceremony.
I dohn't shop at Wal-Mart.

Sure do! and today is one of those days. I was home from work yesterday feeling quite crappy and one of my kids knew this...and as a side note, I NEVER stay home sick from work. Have I heard from her to see how I'm doing? Nope...ah well. I know one of the reasons is she feels I continue to be ill due to my smoking...and she's probably right..but it doesn't negate the fact that I AM sick.
Well, I have an appointment Monday with the doc...I did make it through all of yesterday with not one cigarette...
