Hindus are allowed to cut their hair.
Sikhs, however, do not cut their hair because they believe that it is a gift from God. It's also another way for people to distinguish them from Muslims and Hindus.

There is no religion as Hindu religion. By Hindu, people mean Vedic religion. But one can use the word Hindu to mean all the Religions branched out of Vedic religion -just as people write Abrahamic religions.Vedic Religion, Buddhism. Jainism,Sikh Religion-all can be combinedly called Hindu religion.Except Sikhs all other Hindu religious persons cut their hair and shave (Beard,Mustache etc)Sikh men according to their religious Dictum should have 5 items (5Ks)always with them-Kesam=Hair(from birth to death they should Not cut or shave their hair)--Kangi=Comb(they should always have a comb inserted in their hair)--Kada=they always wear a metalic ring on their right wrists (Gold,Silver,or Stainless Steel, according to their economic status)--Kaccham=they should always wear a loin cloth--whatever most modern costly Wetern suits they may wear.--Kirpan=a small curved knife they should carry. SIKHS ONLY WEAR TURBANS ALWAYS--In Hindu religion also the religious Texts prescribe Keasm,Kankanam(Kada),Kaccham, and Turban..But they observe ONLY IN VIOLATION..But Sikhs follow their religious Dictums very faithfully.Sikhs are very Religious, intelligent, hardworking, reliable, honest and very bold people with valour and dignity- Sikh ladies also very hospitable, very heelpful and benevolent and very friendly-but if any male vag their tail to them, they will not hesitate to cut it to size.In Indian Army,Navy,Air-Force,Police they are excellent(Fear is a word absent in their Dictionary) and Indian Armed forces are very proud of them--very small % of them do not observe their religious practices very strictly-they are called "Mona".Sikh men are generally addressed by others as "Sardaars"(Leaders) and Sikh ladies "Kaurs".Sikh farmers in Punjab are very rich with a high Per Capita Income among Indian Farmers. In Gurudwaras(Temples) they use to feed 1000s of people daily.
