The answer to this question is simple: Blaspheming the Holy Spirit. No morally sound person would choose killing those closest to them, over blaspheming the Holy Spirit. In fact, most Christians, I think if they were actually placed in a circumstance where they had to choose between the two scenarios, would NOT choose killing someone they love over blaspheming they Holy Spirit, despite their supposed fidelity to the “truth” of the Bible.

Of course, as the Bible says, blaspheming the Holy Spirit is the most serious sin one can commit, a sin so egregious that it puts one beyond the reach of Christ’s redemptive work on the cross. So the fact that most Christians, would in real life, ignore this passage, demonstrates conclusively that they are more concerned with life in this world, than the supposed bounties of the next. This mere fact underscores that, for most professed Christians, with the exception of the most extremist among them, they have more in common with secularists than they would like to admit.

Many Christians, who try to address this question, while also trying to maintain the moral legitimacy of the Bible, will try to dance around the issue, and state that God would never want us to choose not offending the Holy Spirit over someone’s life. Of course they would be dead wrong in the assumption that the God of the Bible would put the sanctity of life over not insulting the spiritual realm.

One only needs to look at God’s command to the Israelites to kill idolaters and people of other faiths to learn that he cares more for who undermines his singular authority, than he does the sanctity of life. Even if we were to look at the order of the Ten Commandments, the injunctions to not worship any other gods, not to have any graven images, and to keep the Sabbath day holy, come well before any moral codes pertaining to killing, stealing, or anything else pertaining to how you should treat you fellow man or woman.

As I have said before, almost anywhere you look in the Bible, you will see how it violates our moral sensibilities, and you will also see how much Christians have blatantly had to disregard “Biblical morality” in order to be truly moral, even though they deny doing this. If you see a good and upstanding Christian, he is that way precisely because he ignores the Bible to a large extent, and follows, maybe unknowingly, the moral teachings of people who have nothing to do with the Bible.

Just as an aside, it is interesting to notice that the few Christians who try to address your question won't even attempt to address the question, but instead accuse you of being conniving. Only one or two actually have the gumption to state that they would choose the immoral proposition of killing their loved ones (I for one do not believe them); the rest resort to attacking you and not addressing the question. Kudos to you for asking a question, that even Christians, who are usually pretty imaginative in formulating rubbish answers, cannot address.

Do you know what blaspheming the Holy Spirit is..It would be pretty hard to do. You have to see Jesus doing a miracle and then say, and believe, that it was from the devil..

You win the grand prize for most extreme question. The Bible says that all sin can be forgiven except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.....Do any of you believe the Bible? Of course, we should not kill our loved ones. But blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is no trivial matter as some of people make it. Don't allow your ignorance or stubborn heart seal your eternal fate. Wake yourselves up.

intercourse =/= love. in case you do no longer experience love for a individual, then you definately don't make like to absolutely everyone, you're in simple terms having intercourse with them. Sounds to me such as you have been raised in a huge orphange with very few caretakers. Or shuttled to various foster residences becoming up. have you ever seen counseling? you do no longer sound like a chuffed individual. distinctive characteristic could be observed via happiness. you do no longer sound like a chuffed individual. possibly in case you probably did study the scriptures, you will possibly discover some degree of happiness.

Neither murder is forbidden in the bible as is blaspheming the Holy Spirit - which will never be forgiven but you will be forgiven for murder if you believe in God.

That's a no brainer. I'd choose blasphemy of something I don't believe in over killing someone.

Let's see
Blaspheming something that isn't real. Something that is only there to create stability in the lives of people that can't rely on themselves...
or
Killing a family member. One who was made to be your companion.
