between all the racism, sexism and outright murder that goes on in the bible, why should anyone beleive in god...i also forgot the total lack of evidence.

and then theres evolution, christians beleive in micro but not macro? seems to me like your saying "well at 60mph i can see you going 1 mile, but not much further". why cant you extrapolate micro-evoltuion on to millions or billions of years

please dont pray for me or tell me not question god, just answer some of these questions...and if you think you got prove of god, bring it forward ....odds are its BS but im honestly interested in hearing what you got.

and just a extra point for you science buffs out there....down syndrome is an example where new genetic information is added to the genome (it doesnt matter that it may not be beneficial, the point is there are mutations that increase information in the genome)

I have spent years trying to rebuild my life after an affair, but I feel like I have the Scarlet Letter on my forehead. Why is it the woman who is branded for life and the man goes on with his life? Is there any redeption? I've asked God and man for forgiveness, yet it is always thrown in my face. I've left the church and am very angry with the Christian Fundamentalist churches. I'm tired of being beaten down after I've asked for forgiveness. It's been almost 10 years now. I'm still the topic of conversation around my 35K town. I'm not moving, my kids and grandchildren are here.

I need two symbols that mean something. Like for instance, I have the American flag and it symbolizes freedom, a heart that symbolizes love, and a cross that symbolizes religion. Can you think of two more? Thanks.

It just occured to me that many of us have been trying to "save" people and spread the Gospel not just so we can save someone, but I think that many, probably without even really knowing, are trying too hard just to prove the non-believer wrong instead of actually witnessing. Now, don't take this the wrong way, this isn't every Christian, just some, and I've noticed this but it never actually hit me until now. Go back over some of the things you've said and conversations you've had. If it seems like you've been giving the facts and asking the questions in more attempt to prove them wrong and not actually help them, maybe it's time to rethink your approach. This isn't really a rant, just take it as something to think about. Maybe this doesn't relate to you, so it's nothing to worry about. I just wanted people to think about it.

Every day of the week you’ll find Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindu and Buddhist mingling here. Offering frindly smiles at each other as they go about fulfilling their personal needs. You’ll find people here from Japan, Viet Nam, Russia, Spain, Persia and most points between: God's white, brown and black children.

What is this wonderful place, you ask? It’s ‘Valley Produce’ in Van Nuys, California, a large independent grocery store catering to everyone, with imported foods and locally grown produce, kosher foods and weird food in cans and jars written in languages that I certainly can’t read.

What you seldom, if ever, see here are Fundamentalists or Orthodox Christians, Jews or Muslims. Most of the fundamentalist Christans buy groceries at the all-white Ralphs a few miles away and I have no idea where the fundamentalist Jews and Muslims shop. But you don't see them at Valley produce.

Take away the fundamentalists nutcases and the rest of us can co-exist pretty nicely, can't we

First off, hi! I'm 13, and so is my friend. She's a mormon, and I really want to give her a tarot card reading. I want to ask her parents first, but I just want to make sure they won't react all freaked out... I know a lot of people believe that tarot cards are 'evil' and I respect that, and I also don't want to make my friend feel uncomfortable. So how would you react?

I also don't want to ruin my relationship with her parents. They only recently started to like me and not hate me (I've known my friend since we were 4, and I was a real butt when I was little), and I don't want them to hate me again.

Why are extremely devout Christians who evangelize called "Bible thumpers?" When I think about it, I would think that it would be more appropriate to call non-believers who criticize Christianity "Bible thumpers," because if someone is going to thump something, it usually means they don't like that thing. For instance, if I started thumping my printer, you would probably think I either hated it or was really mad at it.

Thoughts? Comments?

Suppose that you come to know that a girl is raped tortured and murdered, and have the means to prevent it but you do not, Is it because your attitude by more reprehensible?.
So if the Judeo-Christian god and so powerful that everything you know and everything you can not see that avoids these atrocities, His attitude is really almost absurd as the offender to become a silent spectator?.
Do not say that God does not interfere in the actions of man nique is the famous free alberdrío according to the Bible because in the past the same God put in wars and other things, .
