Some anti religious person will cognate up a second hand story, and the response from atheist is overwhelming in his corner, repeating the same old ills of the church etc Conquistadors' Crusades. and so on.
It is man' not God that caused errors, just like Politicians,
Generals royalty dictators etc

We both call ours "the girls" -- three female cats. When they were younger, and got into scraps, I'd scold and say, "Ladies!" and hubby would say, "They're not ladies right now."

I know Roxy recently referred to hers as "the Hairy ones," but I think Tealc666 started it.

The Bible does not say that abortion is a sin. God commanded his followers to kill and rip open pregnant women (Numbers 31:17, Ezekiel 9:6, Hosea 13:16), and killed millions of pregnant women himself (Flood & Plagues). There are even Biblical instructions on how to abort the pregnancy of a woman who is suspected of being unfaithful (Numbers 5:12-31).

According to the Bible, man became a living soul when the BREATH of life was BREATHED into his nostrils (Genesis 2:7). Fetuses do NOT breathe through their nostrils until after BIRTH. In Biblical times, male babies were not counted as persons until they were a month old, and female babies were not counted at all (Numbers 3:15). The Bible also says that some would be better off if they had never been born (Ecclesiastes 6:3-5, Matthew 26:24). A woman can choose whether or not to believe the Bible when making her own personal decision, but it is not legal to use religion to make laws.

i am not christian but i do not deny that Jesus was probabely an amazing person and think he had something to say.

I think that its an insulting to his memory to think that Jesus would agree to such a thing.

My very best friend in the whole wide world is hubby. Next best is my sister. A nice, long chat with either of them makes my whole day brighter.

I have been working on a cookbook for awhile now. All the recipes the kids phone and ask about, and their favourites. You can scan and put photos next to the recipes - one of your daughter mixing up the cake for the recipe or whatever.

I have also used colourful graphics from the internet of funny chefs, bistro cafes, food - each page has some kind of graphic

Then slide the pages into those plastic sheets and make a binder or even take it to your office supply store and have it "bound" with those coil things.

Anyhow this is what I am doing, and I hope it will be passed onto grandchildren too --

A heavily pregnant woman got on a bus, and was unsettled to notice the man opposite smiling at her. She moved seats, but the smile turned to a grin.
She moved again. The man seemed more amused. When, on the fourth move, the man burst out laughing, she complained to the driver who called the police

The case came to court and the judge asked the man what he had to say for himself.
"Well, your Honour, when the lady got on the bus, she sat under a sign that said The Double Mint Twins are Coming, and I smiled.

Then she moved and sat under a sign that said Logan's Liniment will Reduce the Swelling, and I had to grin.

Then she placed herself under a deodorant sign that said William's Big Stick Did the Trick, and I could hardly contain myself.

But when she sat under a sign that said Goodyear Rubber could have Prevented this Accident, I just lost it."

In the following two sentences, the meanings, I believe, are the same:

There is mountains of evidence for evolution. Please give me an example of one piece of proof that there is an intelligent designer.

I am a deist. I do believe that the universe and life began with intelligent design, but evolution then took over.

Come on my scientists here, please try to educate this man. I know it is likely he will choose to remain ignorant but please try.

I was taught to believe in Jesus and the Bible, but I just can't. I can believe some of it, but not all of it. So if I don't really really really believe deep in my heart that Jesus died for my sins, am I going to hell? From where I stand it's way too much to ask.

I recently started a new high school and a lot of the kids ask me about my accent and think I'm from the Caribbean or somewhere but my problem is I have a Gullah accent. Also I lived in Florida when I was younger and some of my family's Puerto-Rican so some of my words also have a Spanish sounding accent to them because I grew up in a Spanish/English house. Also some people say I'm trying to sound black or whatever and I'm not (it's not like I use words like "'Sup, my homeboy?" or anything so I don't understand that). I can't help how my accent goes. Also since my teachers aren't used to my accent, they can barely understand what I'm saying. And no one else in my family has my accent. How can I make my accent not so strong?
