I was taught to believe in Jesus and the Bible, but I just can't. I can believe some of it, but not all of it. So if I don't really really really believe deep in my heart that Jesus died for my sins, am I going to hell? From where I stand it's way too much to ask.

midnight - so I chose not to be able to believe? I must be an idiot. At least you're able to let your version of God off the hook and put the blame on me. I don't have that out.

mark - Wouldn't I have to believe the Bible is the word of God first? Apparently I'm prefab toast.

If that were true, it would make God pretty cruel and sadistic, wouldn't it? Good thing it's not true and we don't have to worry about the judgment of a fictional deity.

i feel the exact same way u feel. i started really feeling it once i started college. i'm a religion and philosophy major and while studying i've now decided what i believe in and what i don't. though you have been raised to believe in the bible and jesus you don't have to. you can believe in anything u want. i suggest you believe in what u feel is true in your heart. i still believe in God and the teachings of Jesus but i am not a christian. and it's okay. there will always be someone around who will not like u or think u are crazy because of what u believe in.you're not going to hell because hell does not exist. if it did it would make God not so loving as we think he is right? if hell exists, it does so because humans created it through the mind.just decide whether u believe that there is a God and go from there. find out what makes sense to u.

No, God doesnt send you to hell...You do that on your on. God wants no one to go to hell but if you do not abey His commands then you are sending yourself to hell. You should put yourself through prayer because it seems like you really need it. If you read the Bible, you will learn many things and you will be able to asnwer your own question.

God made all of us to have a relationship with him and to someday join him in heaven. However, because of free will, that is a choice we all have to make. Jesus loves you and did die. There is secular evidence that he lived and died. The original plan never included any need for sacrafice. Adam and Eve ruined it for all of us but we continue to make the wrong choices.

It is your false sense of life that would conjure up this misconception. The infinite expression of God would not be infinite without you. Yours doesn't go to hell, but the longer you wait to battle it out with sin and evil, the longer you will be asking this question.

I think if you do some research you'll find your answer. Lee Strobel "The Real Case for Jesus" He was at our church this past weekend, he was an atheist for like 35 yrs., and then investigated church and non-church doctrines and found it to be an avalanche of evidence.

People who will end up in "hell" are those that did not want to go to heaven. These people did not want a relationship with GOD because GOD requires from them a lifestyle change.

More can be said.

GOD bless

A Great Father has children for the same reason that all good fathers have children... not to suffer, but to have life.

i felt the same way too until Jesus show up and tell me its not too late to believe in him. One way i can prove my fate in him is to kill 7 people that have the 7 deadly sins in 7 weeks or he would rape my mother and play my xbox 360, and kill my father , burn my sisters alive and turn me into a PS3 fanboy which is worse than being dead.
