It just occured to me that many of us have been trying to "save" people and spread the Gospel not just so we can save someone, but I think that many, probably without even really knowing, are trying too hard just to prove the non-believer wrong instead of actually witnessing. Now, don't take this the wrong way, this isn't every Christian, just some, and I've noticed this but it never actually hit me until now. Go back over some of the things you've said and conversations you've had. If it seems like you've been giving the facts and asking the questions in more attempt to prove them wrong and not actually help them, maybe it's time to rethink your approach. This isn't really a rant, just take it as something to think about. Maybe this doesn't relate to you, so it's nothing to worry about. I just wanted people to think about it.

This is a very interesting point and one that I have to ponder concerning myself,I would be horrified to learn that I have been the cause of driving another away from Christ with my over-bearing manner, than actually helping them.
I must alway`s keep in mind that I am nothing but a vessel and it is Christ Who works through me to bind up the broken-hearted.
Thank you for alerting me to this real problem.
May God fill you with every grace and blessing.

I will admit at times I get frustrated with unbelievers ( I am human after all) But it's out of desperation in my heart for them to know God he's so awesome and sometimes I wish I could just "make" them see.... I will say that you have made a very good point.

Spread through your actions of love and kindness. I think this is one of the most effective ways of "proving" yourself.

I know hundreds of Christians, and each person I have met loves Jesus Christ so much, and has had their life changed so dramatically, it is impossible for them to keep this good news to themselves.

Other than this motivation, I have not seen any other in their sharing the love of Christ with others.
