I am new to the neighborhood and am becoming more and more concerned for the 4 small children that live next door to me. Their mother just lets them roam around the neighborhood all day long and the oldest is only 4. I have also been told that her and her husband find it amusing to feed them alcohol. Even though I’m getting the impression that this seems to be a very gossipy area, I certainly wouldn’t put it past her. As I was leaving the other day I witnessed the mom leaving as well, only with out her kids. They were hysterically crying as they ran after her car. Her only response was “Just go in the back, I will be home soon, I just have to run to the store quick”

To most this probably seems like a no brainer, but I have been told that I can be extremely paranoid at times. Should I confront her or talk to someone else and if so…how?

According to the scientific theories of adaptation and evolution, mankind came about from a neccessity to survive in a changing world.

Now, when you think about it, mankind has evolved and adapted a sense of morals in order to survive with one another. All humans have it - what they believe is right and what they believe is wrong.

Now secular morality is adapting into religion. It has been for quite some time, but now the majority of the Earth believes in one God or another. Isn't it then, by scientific theory, safe to say that Religious people are evolved people?

Even in this world do you rarely find children who would rebel against their parents. Even murderers love their parents. But here we have 1/3 of God's children who hate Him enough to rebel against Him! Hmm....makes me wonder how loving He really is......

Christians are so very convinced that their belief is correct.

They believe Jesus died for our sins and one day He will indeed descend to earth to take every believer to heaven with Him.

They believe that the Bible is fully valid, but the Bible is not what makes them a believer; it is their faith.

Where do they get their faith from?

It is because they believe they have a relationship with God.

What makes them believe that they have a relationship with God?

They pray for help and they believe God answered them.
Funny thing is that it only takes one problem solved by a prayer to fully convince them that God is real.

In fact, prayers are identical to coincidences in that some problems are resolved and some not.

However, if prayer failed Christians claim that God has better plans or that the prayer was not what God approved off.

Funny isn't it that imagining that God answered a prayer is all it takes to delude a person to believe a made up story.

Do you think it is family or God or maby something else?
Tell me what you think and I will not judge you badly on your own personal opinion. You don't have to be an expert to answer this.

I will agree with you that there are certain cultural differences and minor moral details that people need to be taught. However, I am yet to hear a half-decent explanation for why every culture has similar morals. No culture has ever admired those who run from battle, or those who torture children. I don't think any other explanation for these can be found than an Absolute sense of morality that God placed in us. (Please keep responses clean and to the point)

I tell some people i am athiest and they reply "Well who do you think put people and animals on this earth and where did the earth come from?", i reply with something simple like, "evolution. 1 celled organism and it grew into million celled organisms." They reply, with something like " How did that 1 celled organism get there?"

The truth is, i don't know. But the same is for the exsistnce of god. We don't know, truley.

But, they think they are all right and on there high horse, and i come back with something like, "Well, Where did god from, What made him?" They say "he has allways been there."

So why can't that 1 celled organism allways of been there.

We have more proof that it was evolution, Then "god"
some guy in a book.

Agree/Disagree, Why?

_This question did not come out as perfect as i wanted it to,It has it's flaws, but i could not think of everything i wanted to say and the ways i wanted it to put it in._
