We will totally permanently destroy the planet or each other before we figure out that preserving this one planet we can live on is the most important way to sustain life.

When you can't drink the water, breathe the air, or control the temperature of the Earth; or save ourselves from natural disasters that have caused extinctions of species WAY before ours, all this cr@p about money and Democrats/Republicans and Christians/Atheists goes right out the window.

It's gonna take a real wake up call to realize the most important things in this world are:

a) how to preserve this planet
b) how to get to another one and live on it if we screw this one up

All this war over oil and religion makes me want to scream like a child. It's senseless and stupid. Maybe it's selective genocide that the non-caring should kill each other and let those interested in saving future generations stand by for the REAL battle.

The complacency among us. If you look back at history and what caused various cultures to fall - complacency was a factor. When you stop caring, then you stop trying. I bet many of us watch the commercials about the starving kids in other countries and yet do nothing to reach out to our neighbors right next door. Jesus said we are to love our neighbors as ourselves. Maybe if we all started doing that things might change.

Lack of morals in todays society. There are basically no consequences for what people do anymore. What concerns me is where religion fits in todays world. Seems a lot of peoples views are that it's all primitive and discriminatory.

where do i start????
the big one is the fact that here and now...in 2007, it seems like we're moving backwards instead of forwards.
What i mean by that is that women are being treated more as objects rather than people.
racism is ridiculously rampant..and nobody seems to wanna help the problem.
it's just all so messed up
