I live in Taiwan, and teach English here. Some of the English names the kids choose for themselves are outlandish. Sadly, sometimes foreign teachers will amuse themselves by giving the kids weird names.
Here is my list of strange girl's names, and (on my oath) I'm not kidding.
Boa, Chicken, Monkey, Cutie. Queenie. The sixth one got asterisked out.
The boys' names were no better.
Maxine, Boa, Hunk, Taco, Rain, Joule.
Joule is a science kid, so I suggested "Jules" instead after the science fiction writer Jules Verne.

My female co-worker, whose last name was Love, had a daughter out of wedlock during a torrid summer romance.
Her baby is named Summer Love.
That is the most awesome name I have ever heard. True story from my military days in the early 90's.

Hedwig St.George.She looked just like the name sounds, and has given me years of smiles and joy thinking of that goofy and unique name.
