As a homosexual, I am told that unless I repent of my "supposed" sin, that I will go to hell.

What about those who steal, (bankrupt, credit card default, student loan-defaults, etc...) unless they repay their debt they will go to hell too...for they never "turned from their sin"..correct?

The biggie, Deuteronomy 5:19 says, "do not steal"

Ephesians 4:28..."he who steals, let him steal no longer"

Leviticus 19:11...do not steal

Romans 13:7-8 "give everyone what you owe him...let no debt remain outstanding."

So, those who have defaulted on their loans, have not repaid their debt have stolen....so, unless they repay their debt, they are going to hell...for they continue to live in sin.

Considering bankruptcy, etc...is so prevelant in our society...why aren't the religious folks railing on these sins?

You should not pick and choose which ones to condemn....from a literal interpretation, this is sin too...your thoughts?

Does that surprise you? And if it does, how big of a rock have you been living under?

I know this. If a person of my skin color kills two innocent people, I want them locked up away from society. Because I have decency and character and want what's best for society. It would be of no benefit to my race at all to have a killer walking the streets. But then again, I'm not biased, racist and stupid.

More specifically, what are some ways in which your life has improved as you've gotten older? In what ways are you different, and how has this been a positive thing for your life? What do you know now that you didn't before that has made your life better?

This "I don't want to age gracefully...I don't want to age at all!" question has been brought to you courtesy of Jack

Energy may be transformed from one form to another, but it is never created or destroyed.
The law of conservation of energy
GOD also cannot be created or destroyed so he is the Energy that is the proof for scoffers
More to it but you cannot dispute this can you?

Why raise an outcry and get so angry at something you don’t believe in? And why aren’t you all out protesting and filing lawsuits over the public usage of the image of Santa or any other fictional character? What would the world be like if anything that anyone didn’t believe in was banned to prevent some oversensitive twit from taking some irrational offense at it? If you don’t believe in something, and your so sure about your opinion, why do you even care?

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today.

Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities:
1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.
2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.
So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Stacie that, "It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you," and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct......leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Stacie kept shouting "Oh my God."

....that you not only learn more about who they are, but that your mutual respect makes both of you realize that we are not so different after all? I had the most beautiful exchange with a fine woman of a totally different belief system than I am committed to, and it was heart warming. I have respect for the beauty and humility of this woman. I will not give her name, as she is a bit shy, but I will say I am baking Cookies in her honor. In fact her generous spirit has reminded me I should take some of the cookies to an elderly man who has been a neighbor for the many years I have lived here, and he always loved the holiday treats I made. Today is a good day to do something for someone else, in fact every day is.

You'll notice that the questions on here which receive the most responses are the Inflamatory ones. Questions posted which are non-judgemental, or meerly inquisitive, receive relatively few responses.

Are we just here to fight?

ps: If I had asked, "why are christians gay" or "why does God hate Al Lah"... or anything similarly offensive; I bet you ten bucks I'd have received 50 responses.

I work in an office and I wear the whole office dress with heels and stuff. I notice a few guys that seem to go out of their way to look up my skirt. One day, I just showed them. I noticed after I did that, the guy would go in the bathroom for 20 minutes then go back to work. Which I think is better then them dilly dallying around my desk for 9 hours. Since I have been doing this, guys have been getting a lot more work done. My co-worker, who is a girl, told me I am a whore. Its just up my skirt. I am wearing underwear. I mean, who cares!

... yet suicide is an unforgivable sin. If that's not correct, please blame a group of Christians I know and asked this of.

How does that work? They explained to me that suicide is a sin because you are destroying God's creation (your own life) but isn't that the case with murder, too?

Doesn't make sense to me. Christians, please tell me your thoughts.

So, I am told that as a homosexual, I must turn from my "supposed" sin in order to inherit the kingdom of God.

So, what about the obese? If someone dies fat, obviously, they did not turn from their sin of gluttony. So, from a literal interpretation of scripture, they are going to hell too. Correct?

Proverbs 23:2 even goes so far as to say, "put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony."

II Peter 1:6 says that a Christian must have self-control...an obese person obviously does not exercise self-control

Philippians 3:19 says"...their God is in their stomach...their mind is on earthly things."...they are not of God

And, I Corinthians 6:19-20 says, "your body is a temple of God...honor God with your body

additional reading Proverbs 23:20-21, II Peter 1:5-7, II Timothy 3:1-9...all about your body, self control, etc...

Given that obesity a big problem facing America...and that unrepentant sinners/gluttons go to hell...why don't you rail against fat people?
