Throughout the Bible, we don't see women leaders. ( There was one whose name was Diana in the old testimony. ) Why?

The Bible is astonishingly vague about Mary. This should tell Catholics something. Mary needed a Savior like us all. Worship and pray to God in Christ's name only. But, if someone were to pray and say, "Jesus help me!" I believe it would be answered. Jesus, God and Holy Spirit are one. I don't think God is going to nitpick over semantics. Also, there are many great women in the Bible. God is a god of order and He obviously wanted men to lead. God came to earth as a Man, the disciples were men, He wanted men to lead the Church, etc...Some people on here act as if men later on wanted to suppress women. It is what it is.

Mary Magdalene was basically a disciple, but the men who put the bible together wanted to diminish her authority in order to keep women from any type of power in the church. That's the same reason that a pope started the rumor that she was a prostitute, which has been believed for centuries, when if you actually read the bible, you'll see that the prostitute was not Mary Magdalene.

Deborah and Ruth were pretty well documented, and Isaiah's wife was also a prophet, which means that in the old testament times, women were prophets as well as men. Rabar actually saved the Jews, and was hailed as a hero. There are women in the bible, you just have to really look for them. Don't forget Esther, she was pretty heroic too.

As for Mother Mary, wasn't giving birth to Christ enough?

Mary encouraged Jesus to start His earthly ministry early (John 6) and was "mother" to the early church.

But if you think there are no women leaders "throughout the Bible" then you need to read the Bible more carefully, including the Old Testament. There are a number strong women who did great things, including one who won a whole battle with just a tent peg, brains and courage.

Mary asked Jesus to do his first miracle, (turning water into wine)

One woman leader in the Bible is Queen Esther. It's only four pages and worth the read.

From John Chapter 2

1On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there, 2and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. 3When the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine."
4"Dear woman, why do you involve me?" Jesus replied, "My time has not yet come."

5His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."

6Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.[a]

7Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim.

8Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet."

They did so, 9and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10and said, "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now."

11This, the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.

The Virgin mary played a very important role in Jesus's first miracle. I think of her as a proud (maybe pushy) Jewish mother. "Go on darlink, show them."

"But Mutheeeeeeeer, not yet."

We can bring our concerns to the Virgin Mary. She will, in turn, bring them to her Son. We then must do whatever He tells us.

Not really except for being a good wife and mother. The OT was basically patriarchal based, so even if women made contributions, they were seldom mentioned.

She became into in God's plan the entire time, and while she found out, she became into humbled and extremely joyful that God concept quite a few her to place her in that place. She became right into a virgin before her marriage to Joseph, even nonetheless she became into got here upon to be pregnant. while it became into revealed by using whom she had gotten pregnant, Joseph had to place her away privately, however the Lord mentioned to not, by using fact she became into pregnant from the Holy Ghost. no person is born a sinner. Sin comes once you recognize the adaptation between acceptable and incorrect. The Bible says that "All have sinned and are available in need of the distinction of God" (Romans 3:23), yet that doesn't propose that we would desire to continuously stay in sin. After this, you would be further into the Church of Christ (Acts 2:forty seven, Romans sixteen:sixteen), and additionally you will desire to proceed to be truthful unto demise (Acts 2:forty two, Revelations 2:10). it is the only thank you to keep your immortal soul. some permit you to comprehend to assert the sinner's prayer, yet God does not hear sinners (John 9:31); some permit you to comprehend to call on Jesus' call genuine quickly, others permit you to comprehend to wish and pray and pray continuously. the only thank you to get into Christ is to placed on Christ in baptism (Galatians 3:27). go and stumble on a Church of Christ on your section (examine your interior sight yellow pages), and ask questions of the minister, deacons and elders there. they are going to answer your questions and help you attain the terrific and maximum suitable determination you will ever make on your existence.
