I work in an office and I wear the whole office dress with heels and stuff. I notice a few guys that seem to go out of their way to look up my skirt. One day, I just showed them. I noticed after I did that, the guy would go in the bathroom for 20 minutes then go back to work. Which I think is better then them dilly dallying around my desk for 9 hours. Since I have been doing this, guys have been getting a lot more work done. My co-worker, who is a girl, told me I am a whore. Its just up my skirt. I am wearing underwear. I mean, who cares!

Sounds like a valid argument to me. Where do you work? Just in case I decide to change careers :)

Actually, I would guess that any guys that look up your skirt are probably going to see less than they would at your average beach. The psychology of sexual attraction is pretty peculiar at times.

Next April 1st, you should try taking a pair of your underwear and writing, "Get back to work!" on it.

you got it right girl...it's called "moving up the corporate ladder"....i've done if for many years. now what you need to do is switch back to pants for a day or two....watch how disappointed the men will be. on the third or fourth day....wear a very short skirt...but make sure you (discreetly of course) put out a tip jar. remember honey, nothing is for free. after a few months of this, i'm sure your boss will notice and "promote" you...good luck doll!!

You can redefine the cultural norm of women by not letting yourself be worried about being called a "whore" in the first place. If men can get away with being promiscuous then women should too. So if women want to be promiscuous then do it and don't worry how others think of you.

just think how much more work they'd accomplish if you'd start "putting out" or performing certain other "favors"
by not doing so, you're impeding the company's productivity and a good manager would fire you. sounds like your HR department needs to be instructed to hire only genuine whores.

I care! Is there an opening at your office?

(Sorry classic guy humor).

It seems to have been an effective way to deal with it and a good lesson in double standards.

Without offense, I think this is a completely faux question.
1. No woman with any sense of self respect or dignity would simply "allow" co-workers at her office to look up her skirt. Women, especially women in positions of power, fight too strongly against this kind of behavior to submit to it.
2. Most women have an idea if they're acting "whorish" or promiscuous, it wouldn't be an issue of, "Am I a whore? My friend said I am." It would be, "I'm acting a bit out of line, I should stop."

If this is serious, then I frown upon you. You go against everything women fight and struggle for..

I applaud you in coming up with a novel way to remove a distraction in your office. As none of the men are bothering you, I assume that it is now business as usual. Brava Senora, Brava! To your prude coworker, ignore her. She is not worth your time, notice or concern.

I don't see what the big deal is about that either. That doesn't make you a whore. I sure wish you work where I do =).
