Should they? Why should they make me smile? Can you explain, please.
People with disabilities are first and foremost - PEOPLE. They can be like anyone else - they have different personality and some can be rude and obnoxious like any other people. They are not all "innocent" or "lovable" - some are highly intelligent and work in high paying jobs and there are some who take advantage of the system and milk the money from government as much as they can.
Your question implies yet again the patronising, pitying attitude towards people with a disability.
Remember that anyone - including you, could become disabled at anytime. A drunk driver could run into you. You could slip down the stairs and permanently injure your back. You could be an innocent victim of an workplace accident. When that happens - we will all come and smile at you.

Both of my parents are disabled and I smile at them all the time. So I can honestly say that yes I smile at disabled people. I do not smile at their disability, but at their personality.

most people make me smile... whether they have disabilities or not... that's almost like asking if people with dwarfism make you smile... a disability is not a defining characteristic, though it can be one of recognition...
i am sorry, but this question rings of an age-old stereotype that a person with a disability is somehow simpler or deserves sympathy... and there are many extremely abled people that have a "disability"... and then there are some people without any disabilies who are MUCH more simple and deserving of sympathy

disabled people are many times the most positive and loving people I've ever had the chance to meet. They do make me smile, because they help me appreciate what I have.

It matters not whether they are disabled or not, its the person . They are not different from anybody else. They have their likes and dislikes and their own attitudes. If a person is rude and obnoxious whether disabled or not, NO I will not smile, But if they are kind and amenable of course, why not? People are people no matter their outer shell. (Unless their dressed like my sister in law, Then Id laugh my butt off!!)

Yes, my wife does. It depends on the person. Having a disability per se does not affect whether I would smile at them or not.

They in the sense, don't make me smile in a bad feeling way. I KNOW disabled people. They are working, and popular. When I know them, I really beam a big smile. they've got ALOT of positive attributes. They are no slouches.

It depends on the disability. Like if I am around someone who has pretty severe Down's, they do as they are the most open, honest, and loving people that you can find as they love without question.
