everyone believe in Santa Claus as a God? A few hundred burned at the stake every few months for over 500 years coupled with a good sermon before the match was lit was very convincing for the Jesus crowd. Should it not work for Santa?

I usually go out with boys my age.now there is this woman I know.I don't really like her and I don't like her looks.there are things going on.I won't be very specific, you know. Not much.Just happened.
look:I wouldn't do to her the things she did to me but I had that feeling you know.something I had never felt before.strong indeed.I think about it all the time and i feel guilty and ashamed
and,though I've never seen my boyfriend naked,I saw some pictures,men,you know,and I freaked out.didn't like them.
am I,you know,a lesbian?
am I still a virgin?

It's easy for a person to say it's wrong to have an abortion, and it's EXTREMELY easy for a straight person to say that homosexuality is a sin, and gay people should not be allowed the right to marry.

Why not attack sins that EVERY person can fall victim to? Why not attack promiscuous behavior? Why not attack greed? Why don't Christians make a big deal about sins that affect the entire community?

Sometimes I see couples who look alike both in their body proportion and also face. Sometimes they dress exactly the same and wear the same glasses.

My boyfriend and I are both skinny and lanky looking, although he is 6'4" whereas I am 5'7". We have "lanky looking" limbs.

Why is this?

Ever since I have come to this world, there is peace and prosperity. There have been hardly any wars. People are having fun and leading positive lives. It is all because of my greatness and glory.

So everyone, praise me, thank me and pray for me

pro-choice abortion, pro-choice homosexuality, and pro-choice fornication, and that everyone should be respectable of their choice, when the bible clearly speaks against it? We are supposed to forgive those who have personally wronged us, and we are not to judge the past sins of those who have turned from sin to follow Christ. However condoning and accepting the sinful choices of those who continue to sin is a whole other issue. We as Christians are NOT supposed to support the choices of ungodly actions, we are called by God to rebuke and correct those who do wrong. The bible says in 2 Timothy 3:16 (King James Version) “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

I'm Baptist, just to let you know. It is my understanding that what separates my views from yours is that you do not believe in the doctrine of "Once Saved, Always Saved", in other words that you could lose your salvation.

But I must ask you this: At what point would that happen? Furthermore, your view seems to imply that people could potentially move in and out of the sphere of salvation depending on what their "situation" is, like a saved person could have a very bad week where they really "mess up", what then if they die right then? Where do they stand?

It just doesn't make much sense to me, but I would like to hear your insight.

Christians only, please, I'm not trying to be disrciminatory, but if you're not serious about this, your answer won't help. Thanks

Sure, America could have not been involved with Iraq, but their problems would have existed either way. It is becaue of the stupid religious difference between the sunni and the shiites that caused that problem.

To me, religious beliefs (if a country can't handle them) need to be abolished. Poor Iraq has the biggest clash between it's citizens primarily because of religion.

Can people just set aside religion and be logical for once?

Or is this just a testing ground for what "not" to say to unbelievers? Do we Christians really think that what we say here makes a difference to those who don't believe?

For me...I just think this forum gives non-believers even more reason to try to twist things around. If we really care, let's pray for those we see who mock us. That is where the real power is.

It's amazing... another one bites the dust. When are we going to get it? The media is like a drama hungry snake that only stops when it gorged itself on petty small town crises, and in the process gets all of America hyped up... for what? Jena 6, honestly I don't know when and how we came to literally wearing our integrity on our backs. It should not matter if I wore black that day or not. My support for my race goes beyond black t-shirts, and school pranks. Its crazy; I get up every morning, thank god that for one I'm alive, two I'm in school, I'm black, I'm smart, I have sense, a mind, a voice and I thank him for all the people that died for me to be here BUT I still get stares for not wearing a black t-shirt? I love my race but I'm not going to defend violence in any way whether or not they had it coming. I've learned from my fathers before me, and non-violence is what they taught. Really people spend too much time being angry for the wrong reasons. People are born, they live they die in anger, but I refuse to be angry because so many died angry before me. The best way to show respect is to live happy, so the deaths of those who were angry- fighting for what I have standard would not go in vane. It just amazes me how little things like high school fights, in a small-town town spawned by racial hoopla managed to make front page news days in a row... seriously its beyond me. I can't believe I'm even wasting my pixels on it, let alone my time. I think the whole thing got blown out of proportion... again.

The Bible says that the Devil is the father of liars.

Earlier on I asked a question about whether the gods that atheists have invented is an example of immoral and sinful human beings creating false idols. I got responses from people who claimed that they really believed in those gods and they described experiences they had had. But it turned out that these people were pathological liars who were later posting questions that showed the opposite of what they had said. Why do atheists keep proving everytime that atheism and immoral behavior go hand in hand?

I have read many times on this forum that we are no longer required to keep the law in order to have eternal life and yet here is what Jesus said when asked the same question...

Matthew 19:16-19 Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life? Why do you ask me about what is good? Jesus replied. There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments. Which ones? the man inquired. Jesus replied, Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as yourself.

For those who believe we are no longer under the law, can you explain Jesus response to this question?

I don’t understand this whole "Christian" thing. I know it is a religion, but I don’t know what it is about. If this is what is a christian is like, happy I mean, then I want to be happy. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

When answering this question, please state your age and gender before answering. I want a girl because it is more comfortable that way, and a women because they would have more experience.

If I think it is worth it, I would like to get in contact with the woman with the best answer.

I have a reason. Do you? I am sympathetic to the atheist side. I do recall having great atheist and agnostic friends while away for school. I sincerely appreciated the capacity, intricacy, and depth of thoughts generated and I sincerely despised the impulsive subjectivity that *some" did hold, which cast doubts whether the person was trustworthy! The very basis of human interaction was negated once trust of "good will" could not be established because the other person, the atheists, failed to reciprocate it! What ya think about all this? Ultimately, underneath it all, yes I do see the good qualities in all people including atheists. However, that element of mistrust remains a problem for any intimate relationship. If the bible is indeed correct not to be unequally yoked with an unbeliever, what is your (atheist) reason not to become involved on a personal level with a theist?

I have seen many responses and can tell that there is a lot of 'belief' being argued with 'appropriate' corresponding passages. However, what people 'believe' and what the bible says are not necessarily the same thing. People will say or do anything to protect what they believe. Be honest with yourself. I am not your judge, nor would I ever want to be.

I believe in God...but I don't think he created man. I believe evolution.

Is there a religion that supports my beliefs? Just wondering...

My group was talking in science and 2 people said you can't do that, you either believe in everything about God or you don't. (Another girl also had the same beliefs as me)
