Sure, America could have not been involved with Iraq, but their problems would have existed either way. It is becaue of the stupid religious difference between the sunni and the shiites that caused that problem.

To me, religious beliefs (if a country can't handle them) need to be abolished. Poor Iraq has the biggest clash between it's citizens primarily because of religion.

Can people just set aside religion and be logical for once?

Hahahaha! Great question but NO. Man's inhumanity to man created the war. Since mankind became a social animal it has been a wanton agressor. The motivations for its violence predate religion - especially in the modern definition of the term.

And remember a lot of what goes on where you speak of has to do with clan / tribal style differences and territorial issues.

True religion and correct religious principles do not create war. Big business usually does. All wars, even contentions between individuals, begin when one party wants something other than peace.

Abolish religion and you will probably take out the last stronghold of morals and values this country has left because children usually do not receive this education in their homes anymore and public schools certainly don't provide it.

A good religion is not based on emotionalism and it does not nor should not be the opposite of logic. Isaiah said "Come, let us reason together."

Adult mindsets choose a different religion than do grown-ups who act and think like immature, uneducated children who are easily led. Do you know that Jews and Mormons are the most highly educated religious people in this country? Collectively, are they combative?

While i agree with your position that religious beliefs should be scrutinized...

Can you really think that you are any better, to attack religious people?

Religion has offered hope, and has been integral to the development of America... America is the world-force responsible for the idea of the protection of individual freedom (even if its recent residents have not followed the ideal).

There is no logic to the universe. If you study quantum theory, you will see that the universe is not logical at all.

Human faith is the demon. Faith comes too easily for most, and is not valuable unless tested.

Faith and Loyalty were the traits of Hitler's elite. When Faith and Loyalty are combined..... These 2 volatile materials act as a bomb, and destroy humankind.

Hmm... so you want to abolish religion. Get in line behind Josef Stalin, Pol Pot, Nicolae Ceauşescu, Mao Zedong and Kim Jong Il. I'll warn the citizens.

explain World War II, when the bomb was used.

People create wars, they use anything they can find for an excuse.

we are there for oil. Money.

you must understand, there has been issues there since Mohammad died, and left no one in charge. He didn't see himself as a prophet, others did.

Maybe it was a chemical imbalance, as an evolutionist might think, that brought on delusions.

I don't think "abolishing" religion would sit well with many people. I agree with what you're saying, but trying to abolish religion would ignite even more wars and death. Religion is a burden that has been placed on mankind that we just can't get rid of.

It's not as easy as it sounds....it's been embedded in their culture, it's been embedded into their way of life. It's the way they were raised and brought up. It's been pounded into their heads practically their whole lives. You simply can't expect a country to forget about their religion in a flash even if it might be for the better.....

Religion has to be blamed or not, I can not say. There is no doubt that religion becomes a cause for creating terror.

The people in the religions create the wars. They just use religion as a scapegoat.

Krishna says in the Gita "As long as there is animal slaughter, their will be war and famine." Actually killing innocent creates war, because the karma for killing has to come around somehow. (every day millions of innocent animals are bein slaughtered just for the satisfaction for humans sense pleasure)What goes around comes around. Animals eat sleep mate and defend as do humans and they have a right to live their life as do we. Please join me in helping stop war by being vegetarian. One animal save and one person save at a time. Humans don't need to eat animal flesh to be healthy. Thanks, World peace.
