It's easy for a person to say it's wrong to have an abortion, and it's EXTREMELY easy for a straight person to say that homosexuality is a sin, and gay people should not be allowed the right to marry.
Why not attack sins that EVERY person can fall victim to? Why not attack promiscuous behavior? Why not attack greed? Why don't Christians make a big deal about sins that affect the entire community?

I think Adultry is wrong because it hurts other people who did not choose to be involved. Even the people commiting this act know they were in the wrong.
Homosexuality does not hurt any one who did not choose to be involved.
Other sins, don't have protestors because they don't need to protest. Promiscuous people do not need to protest, because they are already allowed to be promiscuous. Like another person said, Gluttons don't need to protest, because we are allowed to stuff our faces.
So basically, if it's already not allowed, you fight not to allow it. If it's already allowed, you're not going to fight against it? I see.

You are all choosing crimes that people KNOW are wrong beyonfd a doubt! Adultry, Murder, Buglery, those are crimes against people who do not choose to be involved. I'll agree, Abortion is of the same proportion.
Stick to the subject and don't deviate from the question!
Why not attack promiscuous behavior, greedy people, gluttons, and proud people? Why don't you attack sins that affect EVERY one, not just sins that only a few people fall victim to?

Sorry, when I said "sins that affect the entire community", I meant to say "sins that the entire community can fall victim to". For example, straight people never or rarely need to worry about being tempted by homosexuality. However, a sin that affects every one would be lust. Every person is tempted by lust, and I notice there are no Anti-promiscuous Christian groups. So, it seems that Christians aren't trying to battle the sins within? It seems like Christians are only attacking the sins they don't fall victim to.

Because rather than seeing all sins as equal (As the bible literally states): They are literally picking and choosing which things they see as "Morally" incorrect as being worse than the other sins, when (As said above) they can't make true judgment calls until they are truly without sin.
Millions of Christians do that, but some people (Like myself) choose the things that I find literally moral. Like accepting everyone (With some exceptions [I do accept gays and I'm also pro choice if you're wondering though])- How is that immoral?
I know I'm not without sin: I pray everyday asking for forgivness, but I pray for everyone. I try not to weigh x sin as being worse than y sin, on a religious plane, because the bible says they are seen on the same. Some sins, however, are definitely immoral: Those are the things I may have a more watchful eye towards. I still don't go around telling all adulteres they'll end up in hell though.
So what if homosexuality is something god doesn't like supposedly? Being bigoted towards gay people in attempt to convert them is missing the mark too.
It's also contradictory to hate homosexuals with genetic propensities to it (Many of them have it), because if we truly think god made us all: How can one get mad at something he believes was made by a creator? Is our god making mistakes now?
Abortion? My statement above does not refute my opinion of this, because I'd rather have a fetus end in life early, than have a 8 month-old thrown in a dumpster by parents that can barely survive on their own.
Some sins are definitely immoral in most cases, and those are the things I'd really watch out for. Deliberate killing of someone with harm as intent, for example, is immoral. Hiding behind to religion to claim that homosexuality is worse than killing someone, taking church tithes for yourself, or raping an altar boy isn't exactly moral.

Christians attack all sins. The thing about sin is that it's not selective. Anyone can fall prey to any type of sin, anywhere, any time. And contrary to what you are saying, *all* sins affect the entire community, even so-called small sins. When someone commits a sin, it's like getting a snag and a small rip in an otherwise beautiful garment. You can't say that only those threads in the area of the tear are all that's affected - the whole garment looks shabbier and is lessened. The same principle applies when one of us sins - yes, we individually bear the brunt of it, but it rends the fabric of the whole community. When we turn to God in repentance and look for forgiveness, part of that process is being made right again with our fellow community members as well as God.

The greatest commandment is to love one another. We cannot be a judge of another person. Matthew chapter 7 says. The whole goal is to get the person to turn around and stop doing things that God disapproves of. People can change their ways. If we exercises faith in the ransom sacrifice then we are at least trying to stop what is classified as sin which we all commit everyday. Romans 5:12 The personality aspects of your wife have nothing to do with sin. You should know her if you dated. So don't hate her for what she does, love her for the person she is. She married you!

For the Christian, I'd say it would be because of the 'in your face' factor. Nobody is forcing us to love burglary, murder or adultry, so I guess that's why it's so quiet around here about those things.
Try pushing new laws on us to make us accept child molesters and we'll get all up in arms about that too.

Because I don't see people marching down the street with an "Adulterer's Pride" banner. Christians are merely responding to those who are asking questions about why we do not agree certain things should be made legal. That's a right we have in this country, by the way. To veto by vote.

Ironically Christians are asked by Christ to cease seeing sin in others until they are completely free of sin themselves--unfortunately those who actually obey Christ are a bit thin on the ground!

Because Christians who attack sins are usually Christians who are deep in sin themselves. Take heart in that while we are condemning everyone and everything around us, we're gonna be judged by the same standard we use on our victims. In short... Most 'Christians' who do this stuff are stuffed :o)

those who oppose both those things are control-freaks who want to push their morality on the masses. they want conformity and control. nothing more. they don't REALLY care about the sanctity of marriage and they ONLY care about the fetus until the cord is cut.

Or why my morbidly obese friend with bad skin spends so much time whitening her teeth.
It's called 'denial' and that ain't just a river in Egypt . . ..
