I'll say she's called Rai (she's not, but im not using real names on here.)
so, Rai only came in a few days ago, but..
she copies my work,
then shouts in mmy face "DID IT FASTER THAN YOU! Ha!"
She swears alot,
Nicks sweets out of my bag that i don't even give her permission to have,
mocks my accent,
and even calls me ugly.
E.g, today, we were talking about body language. And my teacher said, "Try smiling, even if you pass someone in the street. Smile and it makes you seem more welcoming."
Then Rai, said,
"I did that once and an old lady smiled at me back."
i said,
"Nobody ever smiles at me back."
Rai smirked and said, "It's cause you're ugly."
The teacher looked at her and coiuld tell i was getting upsett so she changed the subject. I felt my eyes pricking bec i have really low self-confidence and i was nearly crying. i had to clench my fists otherwise i'd cry.
then Rai, said, "What's up with you?" really rudely.
Help?

Language can be a confusing thing sometimes.

So what does "exist" or "existence" mean to you?

I'm 50 years old. I've been invested in the stock market before the DJI30 reached 2,000. I invested in Wal-Mart, IBM, Apple, Microsoft and Home Depot when they became IPO's.

Life's been good. I have no debts, I own my home.

I only work because I need health care to protect my health and wealth.

If Hillary guarantees health care, I'm thinking about quiting work and signing on with her plan.

And since I won't have an income, I would technically be poor, so my health care should be free.

This will give me more time to do those things I've always wanted to at home, and give me more time to see my doctor to get those little things taken care of, those things I don't want to spend my money on.

How many other close to retirement people plan to take advantage of the tax payers charity and quit work as I do?

And do you see any disadvantages to this plan?

I'm pretty straight laced anymore, but those guys fought hard for their/our rights and influenced American music and culture to the point where they are the benchmark of our civilization. I say God bless the hippies! What do you think?

I was invited for lunch by a friend of mine and the moment we sat down, she opened her handbag to get her cellphone out and placed it on the table. An hour later, we still haven't ordered anything to eat or drink, and we haven't spoken at all. Why? She was busy sending text messages and answering her phone calls. If it would have been for business I would understand it, but it was all private.

Was it wrong, when I told her she has bad manners and she never needs to invite me for lunch ever again?

And what is paso?
Thanx to anybody who can explain. Some of this is tricky

The last 6 months or so, our church newsletter was taken over by some new ladies. It used to be very peaceful, offer "thoughts for the week" in addition to psalms, events, etc. But now it has slowly gone down. They say things like "this week the committee felt like they had to rebuke certain members..." and "we have noticed more sinners while shopping lately, we must try to bring them into church - you can recognize them by their dress" - HORRIBLE stuff like that. It's so embarrassing, judgmental, and makes me feel sick - the "newsletter" is now their personal thoughts. I'm nervous about starting stuff because I've loved this church for years. How should I begin to address my concerns?
