Of course, you'd never actually do such a thing, but doesn't it irritate you to see someone walking down a grocery store aisle talking to someone about something that doesn't have anything to do with grocery shopping? Or ratchet-jawing on the cell phone while driving down the road and running the light at the intersection you are getting ready to cross?

Do cell phones annoy you? I have one, but I usually don't drive talking on it and if I use it at the grocery store I'm asking my wife if she wants whole milk or 2 percent, not talking about the weather.

Sleeping on the job is something that is frowned upon in our place of work. Employers do not look favorably at employees who take naps or even dose off during work.

However, how many of you take naps in between work? How many of you take forty winks during lunch breaks or tea breaks? How many of you even take cat naps during the ten minutes before work starts?

Do you feel you have a right to do it? Or do you feel it is unethical and illegal?

I find it interesting that the YA community is truly international. It is fun to see how many people in different countries participate in the Q and A.

5:116. And behold! Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah.?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden.

The thing to translate is "I love you". I'm doing a piece of art and I really want to use "I love you" in many languages as the background.

Let's say you are sitting on a bus stop bench, reading
The Bible. A tall, slim man in a long white robe and
sandals, with long hair and a beard walks up to you
and, seeing what you're reading, says to you: "I see
that you are at peace, my dear friend. You know my
name. And, lo... I am at peace, too, knowing that.
"You have a good heart. God bless you..."
(And, just before this man walks away, he correctly
speaks your name.)
What would your immediate reaction be?

I posted this question in the US section, yesterday eve.
I pointed out that I'm not trying to mock Christianity. I'm
just interested in knowing:
1) If you are sure that the second-coming of Jesus is an
eventuality, what would it take to convince you that of that
happening?
2) How would you perceive any sort of mysteriously un-
explainable event?

Thanks, in advance, for all of your answers!

Peace.

I don't understand the need for religion. Religion makes God look bad, makes people against other people. Most published bibles today are not even the original bible but mere interpritations. How do we know that what we are reading now isnt all just something changed over and over back 500 years ago. This isn't a debate whether god exists or not but more the reason for organized religion. Wouldn't the world be better off without it and allow everyone to worship for themselves?

This is a strange question. I noticed every pitcher I have seen of Adam and Eve, that they where portrayed as being caucasian. I read Geniuses, It said nothing about there race. How did people come to the conclusion they where caucasian? Is it possable they where a different race? Maybe a race that no longer exists?

I'm going to read the Bible all the way through. I jsut started.

I have been studying German for about 21/2 years now, but I'm still a little fuzzy about when to use "bin", or any other form of "to be", versus when I shouldn't. I know that you "to be" in German when you it as progressive present in English (like you can't say "I'm running" in German, but you can say "I run", "Ich renne"). But, I know you can say things like "Ich bin Krank" and "Ich bin 18" and stuff. So, when do you use it? Is it basically only for when you are talking about a state of being pretty much? Like, can you say "I am excited" in German, or is that using it in progressive? Any help would be great, thanks.

Doesn't the Qu'ran define the trinity as God (Father), Mary and Jesus.
