the question is: why did you decide to affiliate yourself with whatever denomination you are affiliated with, as opposed to a different one.
Question is for Christians.

My belief is so different from most Christians that I have yet to find a denomination that "I" agree with.

a few are close but what we differ on, I can not give-in to.

That is why for the last several years I have been totally independent (NO) denomination.

Christianity has no denomination. It may even be said it is more "a way of life, than a religion".
I am a born again Christian without a church.
I choose the Word & Way of God, not the doctrine of any given 'Titled' church. Church members go to praise with others which I will adhere to if need be. The power of prayer involving many has proven to work miracles. I don't however, believe that I should listen to a preacher preach a doctrine that is not part of my beliefs. So that is my reason to be church free. I have witnessed the power of speaking to God through Jesus many times, but, would you believe me if I told you the way I received answers.? A relationship with God is a very personal relationship. I speak to Him all the time. Like he was with me as a friend, we do most things together.
Most born again Christains can give you true witness. Problems solved with signs they recieve everyday. I can not make you believe, I am not a fanatic although as a Christian I am suppose to talk of his word always. I can't do that. I will speak of God when someone really wants to know..
In order for you to find out these things you have to ask God yourself. Ask him to come into your life. What harm is there in doing so. Really man, all you have to do is see for yourself but do it right and do it truthfully.

Christianity is supposed to be the truth.
Denomination of Christianity will mean the truth being cut to smaller pieces.
Therefore, any denomination of Christianity will mean maybe, 1/2 truth, 1/4 truth, 1/8truth, 1/16 truth, 1/32 truth, 1/64 truth....and so on and so forth.
So, how can anyone join some religious group which is not the whole truth?

I think they all are right to a certain extent. It depends on how far into the Bible you want to get. I started out in a United Brethren church and after a few years and a lot of studying on my own, I felt that I had "outgrown" them . I switched to non- denominational, full Gospel church. I wanted teaching on the Bible in it's entirety. I felt that the teaching I was getting was limited by denominational doctrines. Now, don't get me wrong, I am not bashing any denominations here, I just wanted more than I was getting , so to speak.

I am classified under Christianity but do not consider my self religious. Religion is the traditions of man and not of God. I do the will of God and see his power. The question is what do people do for God not the religion.

MY EXPERIENCES

I experienced God many of times, when you fellowship with him. I received the Holy Spirit one day before I came to the church that I am attending now. The power of the Holy Spirit was so powerful that it was a force that rippled from my feet through my body and up to my head. It removed the pain and depression that I had at the time and it caused a great sensation of peace (to this day, I was never water baptized). He will be there for you; he knows your needs and wants. One night after doing the will of God (ministering to someone against the book of James) I was driving back home and I continued to fall asleep on the fwy. On the third time, my ears popped opened, like a loud explosion, I felt a rush of pins and needles swirling around the inside of my head, I felt pins and needles from my elbows to my hands and then I was wide awake, like I had slept for days. I drove all the way home and when I got into the driveway I started to fall a sleep again. Once he picked me and my motorcycle up, while riding in the mountains after I was about to crash. I blacked out and when he set me back on the path, I woke up. Once he sent an angel down to stop me from doing something stupid, this angel looked like a human but when I turned away for a second and then back he vanished. I can go on and on. Have faith, sit in a church and learn God's word. You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)

DO THE WILL OF GOD

Most people to not have the ability to step outside of their immediate environment to look at the big picture of the how the world is and see themselves in equal light of others. For this reason, most people are biased toward the mores of the culture in which they were brought up a part of.

God sees all people in equal light.

Peace,

AAD

Well, I was raised that way for starters* and I have witnessed what one would call a miracle, and I know it's not a human power, it's a higher being and believing in God trusting in him with faith, does help ease my anger and stress not to mention negativity because I know I am not alone and with hope and prayer-=happiness is found that was unachievable before, I finally have peace within myself an d it keeps growing and giving.

Everyone's denomination of Christianity is right for him or her because God has placed the Christian or person there.
God is forming a people, for Himself !!!

I am in the fellowship that God has directed me to attend. It is God who sets up the members of the body (1 Corinthians 12:18). So I must be in the right place.

As I read the Bible I find the denomination I belong to to be the most accurate. I worship God, not the denomination.
