I went to a mixed school in New York and for some reason black students who had the same teachers as me and received the same education as me and lived less than a mile away grew up incapable of speaking proper english.
I cannot understand another other reason than not caring.

Common word examples explained phonetically.

All right: Eye-t
Hundred: Hunet
Business: Bid-nit
Isn't it: In-it
What are you all: whutch'all
etc..
etc..

Don't they know people will not take them seriously when they speak like this?

The college I go to is one of the cheapest tuition-wise in my state, and most of the student body consists of middle-aged people who go there to continue their education (don't get me wrong, it's a great school with great professors; just not very expensive). I take night classes there and I was under the assumption that my school knew about all of these older students who have children/grandchildren, hence my thinking that there wouldn't be any classes the night of Halloween since it's really a very family oriented holiday. However, when I looked at my syllabus a moment ago, I realized that my professors have lessons planned for that night!
Honestly, I don't think that's very fair. Do the people at my school really think their students would rather sit in on a boring lecture than Trick-or-Treat with their children?!? I know there are sacrifices one has to make when it comes to continuing their education, but that's asking a little much IMO. What do you think?

wouldn't that be it? Shouldn't one side of the theist version rule over all others and even be convincing enough to convince myself and other atheists?

affecting morality and the empowerment of women?"

By this question, I am asking about the sexual objectification of women, how fashion is a contributer and if you think that this is disempowering for women. Many people believe that fashion is liberating, as the clothing we wear is a form of expression of one's self. But on the spin side, women in general are pre - judged on what they wear instead of on their intellect and personality. For instance, if a woman wears a low - cut top, then she is generally seen as 'easy', when in reality she is far from it - do you think that this disempowers women? Or, do you think that fashion allows women to be underestimated, and therefore we gain empowerment?

What ethical stance do you think should be taken for the next generation?

Could you also state whether you are an Atheist / Catholic / Muslim / Spiritualist etc... I am partaking a research thesis on this topic so each and every opinion given will be greatly appreciated. Thank u :)

Mistakenly I may have commisioned the wrong artist for the 22" portrait of Hetti the Head Honcho Hen on my upper chest.

Yes - he made a good job of a clean shave prior to commencing the work but during the 'operation' he actually dozed off at least a couple of times - allowing the needle to drift over the site - no great damage done - artistic license allows for a couple of feathers where there are none on the real bird.

However - my concern is for someone who falls asleep during the telling of my hen stories - what is that all about? I thought I was feeding his artistic interpretation of the subject.

Would another artist be willing to take on the job? So far we have the outline of Hetti's beak, left eye (the one with the cast) and the best of her breast - still a way to go then.

What do you think? Stay with the narcoleptic tattist or seek out a more attentive provider?

Veronica is not mentioned in any of the gospels, not even in the entire Bible. According to tradition, Veronica was one of the women who lined the street along which Jesus passed on the way to His crucifixion. She is said to have stepped forward to wipe the blood and dirt from the face of Jesus with a piece of cloth. That face of Jesus was miraculously impressed on the cloth.

The Roman Catholic Church commemorates this as the 6th Station of the Cross.

Veronica came from the Latin verac- meaning true or verax meaning truthful, and the Greek word Eikon meaning “image”. Hence, her name means “true image” or “true likeness”.

All those difficult, challenging questions which theists struggle with, such as the existence of evil, the illogicality of a tri-omni god, the illogicality of the creation story, the origin of morality, the inevident nature of their deity and so on... they all evaporate with the simple answer that gods don't really exist.

If you have to make so many awkward, implausible and unsatisfactory excuses for your beliefs, isn't that a good sign that your beliefs aren't worth keeping?
