My co-worker is sick with a cold and doesn't cover her mouth when she coughs; she'll literally just stand there, even in the middle of talking to you, and let it all fly out. How can I tactfully tell her to cover things up? Not only is it entirely gross, but I really don't want to get sick.

Is it living peacefully with each other despite of our differences? Or the ultimate peace has been reached when all the people believe the same way as you do?Or something else?

Do you believe in gradualistic evolution, where populations are constantly changing.

Or do you believe in punctuated equalibrium evolution, where populations have times of rapid change and then periods of "rest" where we stay the same?

(this is really for everyone but don't be like "I don't think we came from monkeys!")

Any else find it annoying when people ask for a specific website or online info about someone? Are they too lazy or maybe just stupid to use a search engine? Do people not know how to look for answers anymore? I just don't get it! I am really peeved by the fact that people are so lazy they can't type in a search term or take a few mins. to search or learn something before asking! I mean I can understand it if they said "ive searched high and low but have not found my answer" Then I think it is ok...but lazy people asking these questions are basically looking for someone else to do their work....lol which i guess is kinda the point of this site in a way...but i dunno just seems kinda dumb to me....thoughts? Seems like society has gotten lazy on learning to research things or have people do it for them....defeats the purpose in a way because the "journey" through researching your unknown leads to a lot more knowledge than you would get just by asking and getting an easy response...

Christians do you agree or disagree with the following statement:

"The blood of Christ is powerless in unrepentive heart."

unrepentive = a heart that does not repent

Does the Bible say anything about this?

My father was Jehovah's Witness before he had any children. Then he had two girls, then he had four boys, of which I am the youngest. As we were raised, we were EXTREMELY and strictly limited in our choice of music, friends, entertainment, and so forth. We had no choice but to attend their meetings three times a week. If we chose not to, we would be beaten and dragged to the meetings. (This is standard for JWs, except for the beating is optional, but children are given no choice.) When I was a young teenager, my mother bribed and threatened me in to being baptized (which makes you a full-fledged member of the orginization.) My father just refused his approval of me if I chose otherwise. So I did it.

At some point, my three brothers went their separate ways. None of them were baptized, so in a sense they were "free to go" once they were 18, as long as they left my father's house. Just recently I've decided to stop participating in the orginzation's activities.

God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are three who are one. The Bible makes this clear.

The trinity is scriptural.

Jesus and God are one. Two parts of the trinity.

John 10:30 I and my Father are one.

In the verses below Peter accuses Ananias of lying to the Holy Ghost. In the very next verse he says he lied to God. God and the Holy Ghost are one. The last part of the trinity.

Acts 5:3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
Act 5:4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

So if Jesus and God are one and God and the Holy Ghost are one. Then we have a trinity.

1 John 4:12 At no time has anyone beheld God.
John 1:18 No man has seen God at any time

John gave no further explanation explaining that Jesus was God in the flesh right?

Do you honestly believe that John thought Jesus was God or God's Son?

You assume people are on the attack all the time even if they ask an innocent question. Why must you be like that? Maybe because deep down you know you're wrong?

A distinguished young woman on a flight from Ireland asked the Priest beside her, "Father, may I ask a favour?"
"Of course my child. What may I do for you?"
"Well, I bought an expensive woman's electronic hair dryer for my mother's birthday
That is unopened and well over the Customs limits, I'm afraid they'll confiscate it.
Is there any way you could carry it through Customs for me?
Under your robes perhaps?"
The priest answered: "I would love to help you, dear, but I must warn you: I will not lie." "With your honest face, Father, no one will question you"
When they got to Customs, she let the priest go ahead of her.
The official asked, "Father, do you have anything to declare?
"From the top of my head down to my waist, I have nothing to declare."
The official thought this answer strange, so asked, "And what do you have to declare
From your waist to the floor?"

I answered a question earlier today that asked something along the lines of: "In the ongoing R&S debate between atheists and theists, who's winning?"

I never really thought of it that way, because I have no desire to make people believe the way I do, but that's just me. What about you?

I knew this question is quite pathectic.. my bf passed away for nearly 8 weeks but I still missed him a lot and wish we could hv a conversation to get some queries on my head clear. I really really missed him a lot and wish could speak to him. Every 2 weeks I thought I start to get over it and I end up back to the same cycle of depression again.

I seen from movie before where people could speak to dead through a medium, do you think this is true and where could I get this? I understand this medium can get their spirit into their body so you could speak to them. Can anyone give me direction on this?

Would it be more believable if I told you over 500 people have seen me do it? (you can't ask them about it though)

Sometimes people ask whether folks would commit crimes (murder, theft, etc.) if there were no chance of getting caught.

I say no, because I would feel guilty for hurting someone, and I would have sinned.

What are the answers of other people, religious and non-religious? Do the concepts of sin and divine judgment make for a better society? Or do you view it as "brainwashing"? What motivates YOU to "behave?'

Thanks.
