Christians do you agree or disagree with the following statement:

"The blood of Christ is powerless in unrepentive heart."

unrepentive = a heart that does not repent

Primoa, you are right in saying that it does not change the power of the blood. Yet is that power effective in that individual's heart.

I am speaking specificially of the blood's power to wash away sins or cleanse or redeem.

A verse that could possibly back up this statement. Would be:

1 John 1:7-9
Hebews 9:11-10:26
Acts 3:19

Notice I said possibly. I want you to read it for yourself and come to your own conclusions.

The blood of Christ has power over all......and the power to prompt people to repent

So I disagree

Whether or not people repent does not change the power in the blood

Edit:
JC.....you are partially correct I suppose. I was reminded of this verse:
2 Corinthians 7:10 “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.”

I agree and disagree. The blood of Christ is the payment for our sins, regardless of who accpts it and repents. But God gave us free will, and so he will not force it. He can do all things, but that doesn't mean he will force a person to do anything. The blood of Christ isn't "powerless" in unrepentive hearts, God just doesn't force it... Make sense? I hope so...

I agree; an unrepentant heart has no desire for salvation, but the transforming power of the blood is given freely to those who ask. God still allows us to choose Him or not, but those who refuse Him cannot receive of the cleansing power of the blood.

interest is an inate human trait. purely because of the fact some all and sundry is curious and prefer to locate - what's purely around the corner - does no longer propose we do it from concern. The psychological "ah ha" technique that some scientists have coined, the place we've some psychological discovery technique induces severe endorphins into the equipment and is very comparable to a distinctive orgasm. that's what keeps some scientist going. human beings of religion do no longer think of so as that they do on no account get that endorphin extreme. do no longer knock it until eventually you have some thought approximately which you talk.

I will disagree. The Blood of Christ is ALL Powerful. However, He will not force Himself into our hearts. We must be receptive. He could, but simply won't. It's simply an extension of our free will............the power is there, some just choose not to release and experience it.

I'd really like to know Your source.

Disagree. "Unrepentant" is subjective and requires judgment, and Christians are not to be judgmental. Salvation, on the other hand, is a constant, always available, cannot be negated.

Thanks for the definition! I think I agree...although Jesus died for all, not all accept it. His forgiveness is waiting but it is us who have to seek God and forgiveness.
