I am 30 now, when i was 17 i thought i was homosexual, i was on alot of mental tranquilizers, and sedatives and was a very depressed person, i found solace and love in a friend who was gay and thought that i was, i was 15 when i met him and began a relationship, when i was 17 i came out, i did use alot of drugs and drank heavily from 15-24 and was probably not in my right mind, for awhile i thought i might even be Bi, i had made the mistake though, and came out and everyone and their mother knew that i was gay, but they were shocked, i left him when i turned 20, and never dated a man again, but kept my relationships private, i am now 30, and know for SURE that i wasn't gay, i was confused, i have been to therapists, and counselors, and we all have concluded the fact that i was confused and not in my right mind, but all this time everyone still thinks i am gay, how do i tell everyone that i am NOT? i have been dating a woman for the past 4 years and plan to be married soon. HELP!

Does it make any sense that an Almighty Being needs to delegate His work on imperfect beings?

Does TITHING buy you a road to Heaven?

What about NOT giving ANYTHING to Churches or Cults, but directly to the people who these churches purportedly "aid"?

Usually, when I decide I believe in something, I get one source: let's say an english Bible. And then find other sources to see if I got it right the first time.

I once stepped on this statement: "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle... ". I found that statement obscure, though I understood the basic meaning.

I think I understood the philosophy behind it when I then heard the expression : "a snowball's chance in hell".

Some years later, I was still wondering "why a camel?" and came accross this person who told me something very interesting.

You see, the Bible I was reading was in english. It had been translated from new Latin, which was translated from old Latin. And that Bible came from an hebrew text, also translated from ancient hebrew, based on oral tales.

That person made the following comment: in ancient hebrew, they used the same word for "camel" and "rope", because rope was made of camel's hair.

"I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd." (John 10:16, NIV)

Will the constituents of the "one flock" all reside on the New Earth?

Is the following a correct summation of LDS doctrine?

Atonement
"Jesus paid for all our sins when He suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane," (Laurel Rohlfing, “Sharing Time: The Atonement,” Friend, Mar. 1989, 39.)
"We accept Christ's atonement by repenting of our sins, being baptized, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and obeying all of the commandments," (Gospel Principles, Corporation of the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1979, pg. 68.)
Baptism
Baptism for the dead, (Doctrines of Salvation, Vol. II, p. 141.) This is a practice of baptizing each other in place of non-Mormons who are now dead. Their belief is that in the afterlife, the "newly baptized" person will be able to enter into a higher level of Mormon heaven.
Bible
"We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. . ." 8th Article of Faith of the Mormon Church.
"Wherefore, thou seest that after the book hath gone forth through the hands of the great and abominable church, that there are many plain and precious things taken away from the book, which is the book of the Lamb of God." (1 Nephi 13:28).
Book of Mormon
The book of Mormon is more correct than the Bible, (History of the Church, 4:461.)

Didn't "scientists" used to think phrenology was based on scientific evidence? So why is it some people won't allow Christianity to still affirm the sacred nature and authority of scripture, without accepting all the same assumptions as people who lived 2000 years ago?

I just got on level two and I will loose 10 points for calling that person an jackass. Do you think I should be reported for what a racist person said to black women? Why or Why not?

I know He spoke all things into existence through Jesus Christ but I'm speaking about material wise here. What did he use to create the universe? Was everything made out of himself? Or out of nothingness? Thoughts.

I've never been suicidal per se, but I've been sad enough to consider it. One day, it was almost Christmas time and I was sitting on my bed....there was a rope light on the stairway...I just kept staring at it and wondering if I could actually get away with it.

That's what I like to call a goth moment, lol

Anyway, what are your stories? I've heard that suicide occurs more often with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered teens and I think that's understandable.

Try not to make fun of others, for this is usually a deathly serious issue!

And remember; be HONEST!

You could even tell stories of friends and family if you have none of your own to tell.
