Even the best evolution scientists will tell you that it's still an unproven theory.
Those who swear that it's true apparently don't read....At least not the right books

Posting a science question in the religion and spirituality section often means the asker does not really want an answer. His goal is to ask a question that he believes proves some scientific knowledge to be wrong, or that science does not yet answer, and make the implicit claim that the only other explanation is a god, and specifically, the same god he happens to believe in.
It's the "god of the gaps" - intellectually bankrupt, since it favors ignorance instead of knowledge, and because of the contained logical fallacy.
However, on the off chance that you really want to know the answer:
* Evolution is a fact - just like the theory of gravity.
* Over 99.8% of scientists in relevant field accept evolution.
* There are no alternative scientific theories.
* There is a huge amount of evidence in support of evolution...
* And zero evidence against it.
* The 'discussion' is actually educated people trying to educate others.
* The more intelligent a person is, the more likely they are to understand and accept evolution.
* The "discussion" only happens in backward places like Turkey and parts of the united states.
Are you claiming radioactive decay does not occur?
Here is some background information about human evolution to get you started:

The dating methods are accurate. Creationists like to pick out the few times that results have been inaccurate, and then claim that the dating doesn't work. Well, if it isn't accurate, then how do you explain all the results that ARE correct? (Which outnumber the incorrect results hundreds of times over?)
And the theory of evolution does NOT say that we evolved from ANOTHER animal. We evolved from earlier versions of ourselves. We're related to the simian family.
Will you please at least TRY to learn what the theory of evolution actually SAYS before posting nonsense like this? (Of course you won't...you have no interest in learning anything. If you were, you'd post this question in the science section and not the religion section.) Also, take a look at the statistics behind things like radio-carbon dating before trying to claim that the results aren't accurate. At least TRY. It won't kill you to actually learn some *facts*, instead of religious creationist propaganda put out by preachers and religion-based websites.
Here, this will get you STARTED.

Sorry, dating methods are indeed accurate, and scientists who claim they aren't are usually found to be doing it wrong. Such claims are still pounced upon immediately by those who support 'creation' and blown up out of all proportion. Plus, the transitional fossils that evolution deniers claim do not exist are everywhere: Rampitepithicus, Austrolopithecus and Neanderthal man in the evolution of the human, Eohippus and Merychippus in the evolution of the horse, Platybelodon and Deinotherium in the evolution of the elephant. If you want real proof Yahoo Answers is not the place to look. You could try a library or a university or a museum.
Oh and by the way scientists are not God-hating disciples of Satan who don't want to be held accountable for their crimes, just in case you've bought into that bullshit as well.

This is a better question for the science section. But I'll play along.
>>(dating methods are NOT accurate--nice try),
A trite and long-since debunked creationist argument. Nice try.
http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/dating.html
>>where is the proof we evolved from another animal?
There's evidence in the fossil record, vestigial parts, and DNA comparison, for starters. Why would a creator go out of his way to make it look like humans evolved?

>>Evolution is NOT science.it is science fiction!!!!
No, a big invisible man who creates woman from a rib...THAT'S science fiction.

Not a frickin' biology course over here. If you want to figure this stuff out rather than just dismissing it, take a bio course or educate yourself. If not, shut up and remain ignorant. Unlike religion, science is fact, and is too complex to sum up in generalizations.

The dating methods are accurate. They just disagree with your beliefs. Evolution isn't about belief, it's about accepting the knowledge. All life has evolved from a single instance, we are all related.

The funny thing about religious people is that you guys will not accept whatever tangible evidence offered to you, yet you'll quickly and readily believe whatever it is that cannot be proved, such as gods and similar myths...
...nice try.

i dont care if it is accurate or not i believe it or they have convinced me about it and unfortunately your god and his book didnt have the ability of convincing me of the 7 days creation....Same as you dont seem to nedd tons of evidence about the existance of a god i dont need them neither to believe in evolution theory
