Pages in the bible are usually tissue paper or other very thin paper.. Not advantageous to the pressing of flowers...

I use old textbooks (some I purchased at yardsales for $1-$2) The pages are thicker and thus withstand the moisture involved in pressing flowers a lot better.. Look for books published before the late 70's the paper is more likely to be uncoated (newer textbook pages have a plastic type coating that can lead to flowers molding not drying) and lends itself well to flower pressing.. Get a couple cinderblocks to place on top of the book to add the weight needed for a nice uniform pressing...

Ummm, I would think that a big old dictionary or Physicians
Desk Reference would do better for the flower pressings.
It's really hard to read a book with things falling out all the
time.

Actually, butterflies and flowers dry out and press better if you put them between the pages of the last book. {:-/

the bible was ment to be read, learned, followed God's words.
It is an insult that you would use the bible to press flowers when there are many others fictional hard covered books that can be used. jsg

Please reconsider your question.

Check out Religious good's bookstore, garage sales, estate sales, and also go on Craigslist, and give it a try.

Sometimes church sales will have them too if you are concerned about not spending too much.

I don't think pressing flowers is what they wrote that book for.

To Killer Karamazing, Some days I do, and some days I don't.
But pressing flowers tends to be messy. If I were to want to press flowers in a book, I would go down to my local Salvation Army, Buy a Big Fat book there, and press away.
