Consider a street at night.
Any street.
Look around you.
Do you see people congregating near the lights? Yes?
What do you think draws them there?
Do you suppose there might be someone skulking in the shadows?
What do you think keeps them there?
It really is that simple.
Joh 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Joh 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
God sends guides, to bring people who need a bit of help (hey, that's just about all of us, isn't it?), to come to the light where we can be safe and warm.
No, "TITHING" won't buy you anything at all.
If you choose to give your money to people in need, and you are doing it to the glory of God, then God will also recognize your gift, even though you didn't give it to a church.
Some churches need help, others don't. Don't waste your money that could be feeding a hungry child helping some fat pastor buy his wife a new car this year...but if you know of a church that needs help, by all means, do help.

The 'priesthood' was done away with when the temple was destroyed. His word is what 'shows us the way' to live. Tithing will not get you into heaven if you are not a follower, but it will change your life if you are. The Bible says only to give if you can give cheerfully.... if you can't do it with a smile, then DONT GIVE.... and if you go to a church you don't trust to use it wisely, FIND ANOTHER CHURCH

God has no need. You are assuming human qualities. Religion is a symbol of human ideas teaching of God. Tithing is an expression of Love not hate. Give to those in need, and remove all the human minds assumptions of God and God can enter the experience!!!

Yes, God needs religions and Priests to be his representatives. In Matthew 5:14, he says that "Ye are the light of the world." He is the light, but we must hold up that light and show others the way.
Priests and religions are organized ways of bringing people to Christ. Saving ordinances, like sacraments, are required for salvation, and those are done in churches.
(I can't remember where I heard this analogy) Members of a church are like hot coals in a fire. If you leave them together, they will burn for a long time. However, if you take one out and leave it alone, it will no longer be a hot coal. Alone, it would be difficult to keep ourselves burning with faith, but together we will stay warm.
Yes, religions help us keep our faith alive, and give others a way to look to find Christ.

Hi I fellowship with a non denominational church with no priests,or pastors ect. we share the duties. The Church of Christ is not a denomination it is a discription. We do not have tithing. We have a collection, if you wish to give you can and it goes to the needy.

God has created the Universe, God is running the Universe. God will destroy the Universe. God is the Origin of Universe. God is the Destination of Universe. Spirit can neither be created nor be destroyed. It moves from one body to another. Your body dies, not spirit. Your spirit gets new body after death, based upon your actions in this life. Your target is to make your spirit pure, so that it can merge in Super Spirit (God). Remember wherever there is Happiness in Life, there will be Sorrow. To get Happiness, you must master Sorrow.

You are right. That's why I don't care what churches and pastors or priests say.
Come and join me if you want. Read a Bible and let God speak to you PERSONALLY.
