Can anyone can explain the difference between the Methodist church and Baptist?
I was wondering why my pastor ( Baptist) said that you can get saved in a Methodist church but not in any other church (besides Methodist &Baptist)? I was afraid to ask him why
I have a problem I have been praying about for a long time. I live in a very small town and attend a Baptist church. Lately I have found out some things about the people in the church which I think is crazy. The sunday school teacher on a weekly weekend drinking binge, the pastors wife repremending dressing in slacks not dresses, my kids coming home telling me they learned that Methodists are nuts and families leaving the church all the time I am not sure what to do. My kids & I are seeing all the wrong in the people at the church as well & it is really putting a toll on our family
We live 2hrs away from another church. I am so sad I do not know what to do!I love Jesus &want to worship on Sundays I am so confused.

Now, I just had a bowl of science this morning for breakfast, but dangit, you atheist, evolutionist types are doing all kinds of Dr. Mengele experiments on the folks swinging in my family tree. Just last week, cousin Fredo, from the Bronx came home with two middle legs, and Aunt Lucky, bless her, now looks like a cross between Britney Spears and Whoopi. Aunt Lucky is also now worried about the fires of hell, and whether it is hot enough to melt her silicone implants, so, you evolutionist types out there, could you just experiment on yourself for a change? Im 17 and my parents have gone away for 2 weeks so I had a party last night which fell subject to uninvited guests. There were fights, doors got kicked in, things were stolen, windows smashed and the house is a mess. me and my friends had to stand and fight to stop more chavs from getting into the house and upstairs. I took alot of damage, but at least i protected most of the things i owned. there were some really low people there......one of my friends was punched in the face several times and she is a girl.....somebody attacked me with a knife and they had no regard for my house at all. Im stronger than all of them but there were so many......about 25 of us to 40 of them. We all fought so we saved alot which means most of the damage is reversable.....we cleared alot of it up now and bought new doors and now i know where i went wrong and im never putting the house in that sort of danger again. somebody let it get around.............has anybody else ever suffered from this?

I never have, in fact, that person feels that he/she is home at last, but when it comes to a Catholic converting to, say, Bible-fundamentalism, after hearing evangelists' opinions, that person becomes hateful of the religion he/she left.

I'm just wondering. I am a Christian and I've read the Bible cover to cover several times, but I note that astrology is used throughout. In fact, Christ's birth was foretold by the stars and Jesus even said that the sky will contain many signs. I'm just wondering why, now, we're not supposed to use it. Was astrology different back then? Perhaps a different application than now?

Part of the reason I borrow ideas from Shinto and Buddhism is because they don't seem to keep on telling me that I'm some bad person because of a garden that needs to be saved by a guy who walks on water. It is like if I was stuck in a jungle for years and some dude just hopped up to me and said, "hey you suck but guess what they is a guy that can help you!" I hardly know if I can truly call myself a Christian anymore because I do not believe some of the things in the Bible. But then again I used to believe Jesus was my savior but if I do not believe that the Garden of Eden is valid how can he be my savior? And I was told that Jesus did not say he was my savior.

I mean... you dont see animals other than humans believing in a superior being. I mean... "I think" animals only believe in the right here and right now. I think a human's "bigger brain" has actually caused itself as much harm as good.

The war between the israel and the middle east didnt need to have lasted this long... i mean nobody alive now was there when the war started 1000s of years ago so why continue the nonesense? I think if you educate the next generation of ideas of unity then peace maybe actually achieveable. not in our lifetime but it can be achieved by our sons and daughters. Erase all knowlegde of conflict so the next generation can start fresh.

But the problem is we're all selfish.. we dont really care about generations after us. Thats why we're still having the problems of the generations before us.

Sad. But true.

This whole weekend has been ruined because since Friday my mom has been doing nothing but going to church and dragging me to. Somebody give me some creative stuff to entertain myself or something to bring. She doesn't know I don't worship her God. Every sunday is wasted by church. What should I do to entertain myself.
