In the OT, how many times does "God" command the killing of women, children and babies?

"Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have; do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey."
Please tell me again about how your biblical god is the god of peace, love, and goodness. I can't wait see how you whore your brains to spin it into something that is an offense to all living beings.

The people of those times wanted to attack some group they called their enemies, and so conveniently used God's name to sanction it.

A lot like republicans and fundamentalists do today.

i dont believe it was God but the humans that commanded it. i am so glad in islam it is forbidden to kill women, children, and elderly and sick people. again in islam it is forbidden. the people who kill such as terroists are lost sheep and do not follow islam, they are crazy and cannot be considered true muslims. islam forbade it in the quran .

God knew all those people (their souls) would be against him and rebel against him and teach others to do the same, and they would kill his people. Otherwise he wouldnt' have allowed it. I dare say you have never been in a position that someone is going to kill your family and children?
