They don't, except for the extremists. But there are extremist Christians that want the same thing.
Islam teaches that Jews and Christians are, like Muslims, going to heaven. Islam comes from Judaism and Christianity, so it makes sense.
If you're referring to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, that's a much longer story. After WWII, the Zionist demand for a Jewish homeland was taken much more seriously. Great Britain wanted to get rid of as many Jews as possible, so the Allies said, "Here, have Palestine!" Only one problem: There were already people living there.
Some of the people living there were Ashkenazim Jews, and some were Muslims. They'd been living together harmoniously for a very long time. Then the Muslims were kicked out, and some of the Ashkenazim Jews as well.
Keep in mind that it wasn't the fault of the Jews, it was the fault of the Allies.
So then, after that, people wanted their homes back, but Israel is the Promised Land in Judaism, so Zionists felt entitled to it, but once there were enough Jews living there they couldn't exactly give up their homes...
So there was a war.
Keep in mind that I have an opinion on the war, so my account isn't exactly unbiased. You should look for nonpartisan accounts if you can find them, but they'll be hard to find.
Good luck, and peace.
Isn't it interesting that in both Hebrew and Arabic, the word "Hello" also means "Peace?" Shalom, Salaam.

Muslims and Jews were bitter enemies when the Muslim book, the Koran, was written. Islam does teach a person to hate Jews if that person takes the verses in the Koran literally. I am a Christian. I don't accept Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, or any other type of religion as a replacement for Christianity. I don't believe a person can truly understand why it's wrong to murder, commit adultery, lie, cheat, steal, etc., without the teachings of Jesus Christ. The Bible is the only known source for those teachings. Any person could start reading the Koran and come to the conclusion that Jews are wicked people in Israel that don't really deserve to live there.

actually, what you said is wrong as well as right...muslims do not want to get rid of jews..there may be some fanatics out there who do, but they aren't exactly muslims, or for that matter,sane...Islam definitely asks its followers to respect other people's beliefs, especially those of Jews and christians, who are referred to as "the People of the Book"..I don't really know much about Judaism, and haven't met many Jews either, but would certainly like to know more about Judaism and it's followers...

I agree with Monkey Man up to a point. Many religions ultimately push for the conversion of everyone, but some (including Judaism) don't encourage conversions. Some don't even allow conversions.

They don't. Muslims are taught that Xians and Jews are "people of the book" and are to respect and love them like any other human being. Extremists have recently taken verses from the Qur'an out of context to try to justify killing Jews and Israel--however, most Muslims on here can refute those verses with other verses to show that that's NOT what the Qur'an really meant/said.

Because in 1948, The British and the United States established the Jewish State on Palestinian territory.
In 1947 a Egyptian Official said that Egypt would never accept a Jewish state, because when they left in 70 A.D. They were black, but they have come back white. He was referring to the Jews returning to the region, as not being real Jews but converts to the religion, which history has proven to be correct.

Most Muslims don't. Just as some Christians, like those in the KKK, misinterpret the bible to say that the dominant race should be white people, some Muslims misinterpret the Koran to say that Jews are bad.

Muhammad told them to! Here's an example of what is being said by Muslim leaders:
The Hamas spokesman, Dr. Ismail Radwan, PA TV, March 30, 2007:
The Hour [Resurrection] will not take place until the Muslims fight the Jews and the Muslims kill them, and the rock and the tree will say: "Oh, Muslim, servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, kill him!"
We must remind our Arab and Muslim nation, its leaders and people, its scholars and students, remind them that Palestine and the Al Aqsa mosque will not be liberated through summits nor by international resolutions, but it will be liberated through the rifle. It will not be liberated through negotiations, but through the rifle, since this occupation knows no language but the language of force… O Allah, strengthen Islam and Muslims, and bring victory to your Jihad-fighting worshipers, in Palestine and everywhere… Allah take the oppressor Jews and Americans and their supporters!
Islam is teaching Muslims to destroy Jews.

If Jews are destroyed, they cannot repent and call on their Messiah to return. This event is prophesied as a prerequisite to the Second Coming of Christ.
Antisemitism is always satanic at its roots. Still God can and will carry out all that He has purposed to do.
