I never have, in fact, that person feels that he/she is home at last, but when it comes to a Catholic converting to, say, Bible-fundamentalism, after hearing evangelists' opinions, that person becomes hateful of the religion he/she left.

it was said that you will know the tree by its fruit.

really, it makes me think....

Yes, It is true special in the Hispanic groups. The Bible-fundamentalism protestants they insert hatred or bad feeling for been Catholics. Yes, those group they produce bad fruits. I think they do that so that they can keep them as members by make them believe they are victims of grate lie which is not true. If they knew many greatest protestant, ministers, and followers have converted to Catholicism because some one was willing show a more fullest faith (Catholicism) and answer their qestions. One can see shows like Journey home, catholic radio (catholic.com), and other sites.

If it is hateful bashing; it is defnitely wrong. But, if it is pointing out the difference between what the Roman Catholic Church teaches and the bible, why be anoyed?

Did you know that pergatory was invented to raise funds by selling indulgencies? Did you kwow that the Apostle Peter had a wife? The expression Queen of Heaven is actually a title given in the book of Jeremiah for an idol.

Hebrews teaches that the sacrifice of Christ on the cross was once and complete, not to be repeated in any ceromy. The bread and wine are to remember that He died, not to re-sacrifice Jesus all over again.

I hope this helps yopu to understand what some converted roman Catholics are doing.

But, as said, this theological discussion should not deteriate into name calling and uncalled for criticism.

Thr Roman Catholic Church does take a strong stand on major moral issues. I wholeheartedly agree with their stand against abortion and to keep sex as a sacred act between husband and wife.,

May God Bless you as you ask searcing questions and make people think

I've been sitting here trying very hard to recall whether I've ever heard a Catholic convert speak disparagingly of their former religious faith. I really haven't. But then, we aren't into standing up and giving personal testimony, so it may well be that many harbor ill will toward their former "ism" and it just doesn't get a public airing. I don't see how anyone can spew hatred if they are faithfully receiving the sacrament of Reconciliation, either.

You noticed that, did you? You are very correct. People like Dr. Scott Hahn and other converts always speak highly of their protestant past, but many Catholics who go to other sects do so for emotional reasons: "Mass is boring", or "people are not friendly", or other superfluous reasons.
