What do we do when the children of the first family is out of order and nothing is being said to them?They can pretty much do what they want to do and say what they want to say.The mother of the children does not try to make them obey or respect others.What do we do? Only spiritual people answer only rude and crudeness will be reported, thanks!!!

I am soooooo confused. With all the religious wars occuring with these groups, i'm confused. Currently, I think that the spanish were catholic and the rest were protestants? Can someone pleeeeaasse elaborate, I am so confused.

My son is turning four this October and my husband is deploying for
Iraq for the second time this December. We are moving back to
California during the deployment where my son will finish out his
preschool year at a catholic preschool. One of the requirements for
"graduation" is that they learn the Our Father and Hail Mary.
Although my husband and I are both Catholic I have not thought about
teaching him these prayers so young. Does anyone know of a good way
to help me start teaching him? I don't want him to start school and
be behind the other students.

Which seems simpler to you?

A) Just instantly kill all evil men (remember, omnipotence....)

B)-Talk to some guy (this is apparently rather bothersome for him, as it seems exceedingly rare)
-Wait for this guy to build a boat roughly the size of the titanic (882.66 x 92.5 x 34.5, shaped like a ship) vs. (450 x 75 x 45 shaped like a box) out of cypress (the most common interpretation of "gopherwood"), a cypress tree has very little actual wood...
-Have 2 of all "unclean" animals everywhere walk to (or build their own boats to sail) to Noah.
-Have 7 of all "clean" animals do the same.
-Flood the earth to slaughter all remaining animals and people
-Hold magical gas bubbles around all plants such that they don't die
-Slow the metabolisms of all remaining carnivores on the plant such that none need to eat for several generations. (A lion would normally need13 lb of meat a day (148 gazelles a year))
-make genetic variation suddenly appear and erase all other evidence.

I came across this beautiful quote from The Prophet Muhammad. I think its sentiment will seem familiar to those of you who have studied Jesus' teachings.

Many people say report it but where are the families/and what are they doing to help the kids that are abused. Seems like most children have more than just a mom or dad...Do you get involved?Personally? Do we need more parenting classes and less math/science/history in high schools?

is it stupid to be an idealist and desire to transcend boundaries? most of the time my ideas are like that and i know others may see them as naiive, but if people didn't have idealistic thoughts, there may never be positive change and everything would always stay the same. the leaders of revolutions must've been idealists. however, it also has its negatives because you are constantly dissapointed and truthfully most of the ideas just wouldn't work out because of the way people and society are, so is it a waste of time to even think in such a way? what are your thoughts on this

Why do all atheists get mad and irritated when Christians talk to them about God? If we didn't talk to you about God then that would mean we don't care about you. Yeah I know you say "mind your own business don't worry about me" but most of us are good people and we just want to show you what we believe and if you choose to believe it then Great we did what we could. If you choose not to believe then that's on you. We don't hate you at all just want more people to find hapiness. I know your thinking I am Happy I don't need God but with God it's a totally different kind of Happy. I am looking forward to death I am only 29 and when that day comes I know I will be living with God in paradise and living with all my loved ones that have passed. When you die your just Dead? To me that doesn't sound so good. Especially for the babies that have died and for the people that lived short lives. There are reasons for them to die early and that is for people to start believing in God!!!!!!

who said that when you get saved you MUST be broke? who taught that lie? everytime i see a pastor or christian prospering in the area of finances other christians say they not supposed to have that, they not supposed to drive this.... Don't get me wrong, i know there are some out there that worship the dollar, that only serve God to reap some type of materialistic gain, I am not talking about them. Why is it wrong to teach about money? wrong to have 'wisdom in finance' conferences? their is a WHOLENESS to God, a balance in life. you can't preach holiness, salvation, praise and worship, without talking about survival, finances, spending, and saving. How can we bless the needy if we don't have anything to give? what do you think? Do you have a problem with money in the church?

Someone very close to me hurt me very deeply. All of my "Spiritual Superhero's" (i.e. the people I see that live by, and have spiritual prinicples "work for" them) tell me that I should pray for that person.

Let me tell ya - I have been trying in earnest to pray for them - and it's been doing nothing but getting me angrier.

They were very abusive towards me - quite suddenly - and I'm having a hard time thinking that they merit prayer for the things in life that they would want/need - when they thought it was totally ok to treat me worse than the dog - and somehow, it feels like I'm endorsing the idea that its okay to treat me badly if I forgive them.

Any advice?
