Many people say report it but where are the families/and what are they doing to help the kids that are abused. Seems like most children have more than just a mom or dad...Do you get involved?Personally? Do we need more parenting classes and less math/science/history in high schools?

In order to stop child abuse we have to get into the hearts of people, I think drugs and alcohol have a lot to do with it. Poverty is a contributing factor also, I personally feel the teachers at the schools need to speak up when they see it. If a kid is being abused he deserves a better life than that. Teachers at school see it more than anybody. I think I would have wanted to live in an orphanage than being be up everynight.

This is more than just a class that we could teach in school. It's so widespread, and it knows no boundaries. It covers every race, color, creed, and economical stats. I believe the best way to fight this battle is with educating the communities, and our area leaders. We can't be afraid to stand up and speak out. If we don't, we're no better than the ones abusing. SPEAK OUT!!

Child abuse will not stop unless people and societies recognize children's rights as human beings, and this includes their right to be protected from physical and emotional abuse particularly in their homes.

I am involved in educating people on children's rights and on children's issues including the corporal punishment of children. I believe that children will learn better if they are disciplined in non-violent ways. You can't teach morality. It's ultimately passed down from parents to children. That's why so many people who beat their kids or wives were beaten themselves.
