I'm 45. I remember back to when I was 16 and had the world ahead. And what I did. You hit 40 and you have a much better idea of good choices. But it's a time when your mortality confronts you. Not death. Worse. Old age. So in your 40's you really start to take things to heart. Even go so far as to change careers, So that you may not be rich, but you'll be happy. What are you going to do? What do want to do? Before you are to old? But don't forget! You need money for when your old!

Once, I went to a health conference, and found that the saying "Life begins at 40" actually originated from scientists. It means that bacteria/mold/etc. starts to grow at temperatures above 40 degrees Fahrenheit. I don't actually know if the saying truly originated from scientists, but it's true that food goes bad quickly when kept at a temperature above 40.
I think that life changes at 40. When you reach 40, you should have a profession, and your life is established. You probably own your home, so you are settled. You are less stressed in many ways. Your children are older, so you have more time for yourself. The change is that you realize that your life is half over, and you have to make the choice "Is this what I wanted for myself?"

No, life begins when someone is born. Besides, if life begins at 40 years old, when does life end?

Of course not! Life really takes off when you acknowledge that God is in you and all around you. When you realize that we are all one. When you can give, and not take, take, take. When you know that you can talk to God anytime that you want, that he doesn't want anything from you. He wants you to help feed the hungry, clothe the poor, shelter the homeless. God said we should realize that there is enough!!! We should not compete with each other and see who can get more" stuff " than the other. Some great reading about God are books by Neale Donald Walsch.
God Bless

Life begins when you're born. If you wait until you're 40 to start living, you've wasted half your life.
