I am a plus-sized woman who finds it difficult to wear clothes to fit well. I am interviewing with a company whose clothes I've worn for many years, is it appropriate to wear clothes from their stsore to the interview? The attire is professional-it's not like I'm wearing the logo across my chest or anything.

My stereotype would be a well-educated witty humerous person who is usually under the age of 40 (most atheists tend to be young, from what I've heard). I would assume an atheist has gone to college or is planning on attending, and is probably very fluent in the scientific/mathematics department.

Did I hit the nail on the head?

My best friend and I went through a rough patch Christian wise.
We both felt God wasnt important had serious doubts and the devil kept building. It got worse until I really couldnt take it anymore so I prayed and got into my bible. It helped so much and I feel like me again. It is amazing...my problem? My friend is where i was but it gets worse. She doesnt want to read the bible or pray or she does but it isnt a big deal to her if she doesnt. I am worried she has done some odd things like scrathing herself and idk what else. How can I help her? She said she doesnt want to talk about it and isnt ready but she wil come to me when she does but I fear it may take to long. I try to talk to her w/o shuffing God in her facer like he was shoved in mine but idk what else to do. I want her to feel as I do. I want to keep it up myself. Any advice? Please dont rub your athiesim in it if that is ur plan. PLease dont.I know God is real and if you dont believe it you wont have a happy ending.

and read the first three chapters of John??

First find a quiet place. Away from TV, family, computers, etc.

Then close your eyes and before you begin reading just say out loud, "God if you are real and you are there, would you help me find the truth in your word?" and then read those three chapters slowly, out loud if you have to, and after you read say "God I know this isn't a prayer because I don't believe in you, but if you are really out there listening to me now, thank you!"

So whatta ya say, Atheists? Do you have the courage to try this tonight? Just read three chapters in some old dusty book.

If you do this for a week - three chapters a night from John - with an open and sincere heart - I guarantee your whole life will change.

Come on. You all are so brave and arrogant. Accept the challenge.

Or are you that afraid to be proven wrong?

Also, they must realize that "Dead" means lifeless and devoid of all powers. So if he died, then someone else had to bring him back to life, since he is devoid of all powers. Therefore, he can not be God.

I remember gossip being spread even in the 5th grade, there was a girl who spread a vicious rumor that her nieghbor had lice and the rumor went around the whole 5th grade like wild fire and it took beleive it or not a good year for the rumor to fully and completly go away and die down. The girl that was talked about did not have lice but everyone treated her like and outcast and she even had horrible nightmare of lice in her hair. I wonder what possesses children to be so cruel and not even apologize for thier wrongdoing? What possesses little girls and even boys to be that vindictive and spiteful at such a young age?
The person that was slandered and gossipped about was me.
And I learned a valuable lesson about how the power of words can hurt people which I beleive is one of the reasons the Lord gave me the gift of encouragement.

One time, and one time only, does the Bible mention 'born again'.

Twelve times Jesus said he was the bread that came down from heaven; four times he said they would have "to eat my flesh and drink my blood."

Why do some play so heavily on 'born again' yet completely ignore Jesus when He says "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him"

I find this very interesting indeed, becaue they remind me of "After this, many of his disciples drew back and no longer went about with him"

I mean, seriously. I know that people say the whole "It's Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve." thing, but is there anywhere in the bible that has a scripture that says you can't be attracted to who you want to be attracted to? I really need to know.

Please tell me God created falling in love with someone to mean falling in love with the person for who they are/their personality. Some people claim falling in love is simply a chemical reaction/attraction between the chemicals in 2 bodies. If this is the case, love doesn't seem so special anymore. I honestly don't think God would create something as special as romantic love just to mean an attraction of bodily chemicals between 2 people. Please tell me God created romantic love to mean more than this-to love a person for who they are (to find a deep emotional connection to someone) rather than simply a chemical attraction between chemicals in the body.

help...please...
Question Details: I'm going to lose it...the pressures...the strain...i'm ready to run away and become a homeless, baglady...and i'm not kidding. there are moments when i want to die and drive off a cliff, but i don't want to leave behind a devastated family. :(

i just started a job as a teacher, but i hate it. we need the paycheck desperately and the medical benefits so i can get help and meds, but i can't make it until then. it's not good to be depressed as a new, first year elementary school teacher.

if i walk away, i walk away from hope, but i can't cling to it...i don't want to go back...the thought puts me over the edge. i'm taking tomorrow off (i'm getting the stomach flu passed on by my daughter.)

i feel as though i let everyone down (and incurred loans to pay for the education) but no amount of positive talk is getting me through this. i am crying all the time. not in front of the kids, of course. my own kids are young adults with depression problems, too. they can't work either. help
