It is your own personal choice and it is only you who can decide what is right for you.
If you are having some doubts i suggest that you don't rush into it but sit back and do a little research into the religion and confirmation, because I'm sure you'd like to commit to something that you feel you can truly trust and open up to.
If you cant decide than spend a moment alone each day, still your mind and ask yourself, 'Is this the right religious choice for me?'. an answer wont come straightaway but one day it'll just 'click' and then you'll know. (it could come in a dream, a feeling, a thought, it can be diverse but it will happen)
Good luck!

I was confirmed in a lutheran church, despite my many doubts. I did it primarily to please my parents. Frankly, I was weirded out by the ceremony and found the whole experience meaningless. A few years later, after intensely analyzing my beliefs and studying not only other religious beliefs, but also their histories, I had discovered that I did not believe in any of it. Now an atheist, I regret my intellectual dishonesty in my teenage years when I was confirmed. I suggest you hold off and really analyze what you believe and WHY you believe it. You might not become an atheist, but I am sure you will find that there is a lot about religion that does not make sense.

If you want to make the whole faith your own and practice it and live with Jesus as your Lord and Savior,Purpose and Direction of Life, then seek Confirmation;if not, don't abuse the sacrament

First, talk to your clergyman; he's heard it before and will listen patiently, and give you some good guidance.

PS: Adult Confirmations are not rare.......

Pray about it see what God wants you to do. You may end up somewhere farther then your parents but it is what God wants that counts.
