Since Zechariah indicates that the whole world will keep the Feast of Tabernacles in the future, why don't Chirstians keep it now?

n9wff, perhaps you had better study a bit about who is going to attack Jerusalem.

Because most of them are fooled into thinking it is no longer necessary. They mistakenly believe that Christ's death abolished the necessity to keep God's holy days.
There are many true Christians who in the last 4 or 5 decades have began to keep the feasts and the seventh day sabbath again.
These groups are scattered all over. Most of them go by some sort of Church of God title. Nearly all of them are offshoots of the late Herbert Armstrong's organization, The Worldwide Church of God.
To find out more, just type in Church of God and Sabbath in google.

16 Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.

The chapter and verses you are referring to apply to the NEW Earth, the KINGDOM that is coming in when Jesus returns as KING..... His second coming..... The OT God is dealing with the Jewish Nation and people, they rejected Jesus as the Messiah, there for their time as Gods people and chosen ones got , for lack of better description, put on HOLD..... God grafted in the Gentiles..... that is us..... During the tribulation, God will once again deal with the Jewish Nation and people with exceptions !!!!...... ok, after 7 years, Christ will return, the Great Battle will take out ALL enemies of God, and all that will be left will be the remnants of the tribulation and those who are *raptured*, the Kingdom will be as in the old Testament, how much so, I am not sure, but it is stated that that Temple Worship will happen...... NOT the animal/blood sacrifices, for Jesus was the LAST sacrifice !!!!!!!! go in peace...... God bless

John 4:20-23, "...But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father seeketh such to worship Him."

christianity has tried very hard to cut itself off at the root for nearly 2000 years now. they claim the Tanakh only when it supports their claims and distance themselves from it otherwise...
Isaiah 29:13 "Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men"
see also Mathew 15:9; Mark 7:7,8

Because the time of the Gentiles is not yet full.
When it is, many things like the feasts and such will be re-established in Christs 1000 year reign.
This is for all those who are left alive on the earth and will be having children. They will worship Jesus, and he will sit on the throne in Jerusalem.
We are now still in the time of the Gentiles and will be until the body of Christ, i.e. the church is taken from the earth.
Then Jesus will concentrate on the Jews.

Some of us do celebrate it on occasion. But when we celebrate it with Christ in his millennial kingdom it will be like no other feast because Jesus will be there! 1000 feasts in 1000 years, I dont plan on missing one of them. How about you? Come to Christ

can we read those again?
"those who were left that came against Jerusalem"
this is the enemy of Israel, not the allies.
Be careful when you take these out of context...

Because Zachariah is in the old testement after Jesus died itbecame more of history than guidlines. That's where the New testement comes in. Basically the same reason we don't sacrifice animals and confess our sins to priests...protestants don't anyway.
