and read the first three chapters of John??
First find a quiet place. Away from TV, family, computers, etc.
Then close your eyes and before you begin reading just say out loud, "God if you are real and you are there, would you help me find the truth in your word?" and then read those three chapters slowly, out loud if you have to, and after you read say "God I know this isn't a prayer because I don't believe in you, but if you are really out there listening to me now, thank you!"
So whatta ya say, Atheists? Do you have the courage to try this tonight? Just read three chapters in some old dusty book.
If you do this for a week - three chapters a night from John - with an open and sincere heart - I guarantee your whole life will change.
Come on. You all are so brave and arrogant. Accept the challenge.
Or are you that afraid to be proven wrong?

It's not just about the "reading" you morons!
It's about being open and honest and sincere. Three qualities most of you are apparently sorely lacking.

I was a religion major, with an emphasis on biblical studies, plus I spent a year in seminary. I've read John dozens of times. Will you read "The God Delusion," or are you afraid to be proven wrong?

I did that a long time ago and nothing happened. I acepted Jesus and later realized that it did nothing for me. I grew up devout Catholic, tried everything I could to believe-- and couldn't force myself to.
Keep in mind, most Atheists have read the Bible several times, cover to cover, trying to understand and believe. Just doesn't work for some people.
Please stop generalizing. We aren't all "brave and arrogant". Stop assuming that we are based on the few posts some ignorant kids make on here. But, we're not afraid either. Just been there, done that.
Also, don't assume that your religion is the only right path when it is one of thousands spread across the planet. What is right for you is not right for everybody.
Peace.

First of all, I LOVE God.....But i cant stand people who preach like this. Atheists are not stupid people, just because they dont believe what you do.people believe or dont believe certain things for a reason....So if they wanted to read the bible, they would pick up a bible.Thats like me saying, hey Dont read the bible for a night, i PROMISE, it will change your life, even though i might not believe what you do.So, 'you are so arrogant, accept the challenge'.... and get over yourself. You are no better than anyone else, just different beliefs.

Tony, I love how you always ask others to pray the sinner's prayer. I notice that the answers are not that reassuring, but at least they are reading it. I believe that the prayer will go deep into their spirit and bring forth salvation. The ones with the worse answers are probably going to do the greatest work for Jesus. When you get to heaven you will be rewarded for those that came to know Him because of your prayers. Thank you..

i wouldn't take offense at this if not for the last two lines, which ruin the whole thing. and you know, it's kind of sweet to see people with this much faith in something. and just asking people online to open their hearts and give it a try isn't terrible, just annoying. but the last two lines ruin it. 100%. and the attack on atheism? what about everyone else who's religious but believes in a different religion? how about non-christians? get off your superiority complex.

I've read them. All of them. I've read through the OT and the NT a few times during my studies. As far as the NT goes, I must say that I find it to be one of the most boring pieces of fiction I have ever read. Especially, the book of John.

John it is the Love of Christ that changes these people . If they realised how much Christ suffered for them they would all change. Calling them names does not help you in any way. You then just become like one of them by doing that . Prayer helps also.

You need to work on your arrogance problem, kid.
Most atheists have already read the Bible. You're the one only looking at one side of the issue, not us. Open your eyes, just once, and put away your arrogance, and see if you can't dig out of that little hole you've dug yourself into.

for starters, I don't need some 15 year old kid preaching to me about things he doesn't know, and for seconds, I used to be Christian, then realized the whole god thing was nothing more than a lie to keep stupid people in line. please get an education
By the way, I've probably studied the bible more than most people here, and still don't believe any of it

Has read the bible...it is more idiotic than...crap, I can't think of a book that even comes close. Ok, it is the most fictional, poorly written piece of sexist, violent, tripe I have ever read.
And this is from a poster who hates muslims? Nice christian you are...
