When you give up freedom of thought and freedom of action to the Christians. They will allow you to keep free will, but without the other two to make your will reality.

That depends.

Converted to what?

One can walk into a church, and do nothing but say "i'm a xtian". That's all they require. Some want 'baptism' and catholics, to their credit, will require some study.

For conversion to Judaism., one must find a willing orthodox rabbi and undergo a period of study in law, ethics, history, life cycle, and probably hebrew (1-2 years) followed by examination by a beit din ('court of rabbis" -three of them), circumcision for a man if it was not done at birth, and immersion in a mikveh.

Islam, I don't recall the whole process. More than xtianity but less, I believe, than Judaism.

The bible says that we become a new creature when we decide to follow Christ through faith. We receive the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that converts us. Non believers are not the same. Because they dont have the Holy Spirit. Non believers don't understand or just don't believe that there can be a conversion. They say that its all in our mind. But when you believe and I mean really believe; in faith, there is a real conversion. A true transformation. Just ask any true believer.

A confirmation of the Holy Ghost. That is the only way that we can know. Atleast while we are here on the earth. Here is a link about the Holy Ghost:

I believe that Jesus, who is God, died for my sins on the cross and rose again.

That is the only way anyone can be saved.
