All of my life I have always been underweight. Which has prevented me from being able to play certain sports when I was in highschool, I was never allowed in the field during football because I was too small. My height has never been a problem I reach about 6 feet. But it seemed like my whole life I had to work extra harder to recieve respect or to prove anything. Daily its the same comments " Your too skinny" You need to eat". You know if "just" eating was that easy. I swear I eat a lot on a daily basis but once i step on a scale I dont even gain a pound. Someone always has to comment you like you dont even know you were skinny. They put so much money into helping people lose weight, but what about people who need to gain weight? Anyone else gone through the same struggle?

Would character development even be possible in a film based on Athena? The reason I'm inquiring this is because we have to pen a short screenplay about her, and I just can't imagine a film surrounding her because she, as a character, doesn't grow. Perhaps I'm wrong and someone can correct me?

I watched a certain video and it just made me think otherwise, meaning I don't believe in God anymore. But my enter family is very religous, and I want to start believing in God again but I can't... What do I do? Could the video be wrong?

I realized that they have been making fun of my wig. I always thought they were just laughing like old biddies, but I got my grandson to go snoop on them and record them with his phone and I HEARD THEM TALKING SMACK ABOUT MY WIG. So they WILL pay for this, b/c this is supposed to be CHURCH, and what about that, HUH???

We've recently moved to a new, much smaller city so that my husband can complete his Bachelor's Degree. The city's population is predominantly Caucasian & Christian. We are African Americans of the Islamic faith.
My daughter is a very social girl (pre-teen). She's made many friends in our neighborhood, but not at school (she's in middle school & the children in our neighborhood are either in elementary or in high school--so none of her schoolmates are neighbors of ours).
Being a small town, everyone seems to know everyone and cliques have long been formed. My daughter is being left out. She tries & tries, with no avail, to make friends. She's never had this problem before. She's a SWEETHEART & everyone always LOVES HER!! Honestly, she's TOO nice--the people pleaser type.
The only time they let her with them is when they wish to be cruel. They make her the butt of every joke & they cheat to make her lose & they mock her & completely ignore her when she speaks to them! How can I help

She ends up quitting & "takes a walk" so they won't see her cry. Now they won't let her play at all. This has happened a few times already & it's just the 5th day of school! She cries every day as she walks alone (she doesn't let them see her cry). And she fights back tears on the bus & during breakfast because no one will sit with her. Please, any advice would be wonderful. How can I help her?

Also, she gets dirty looks & stares al the time. She really wants to be accepted. She's always been that way. I wish it wasn't so. If it were me, I'd ignore 'em and go about my business. But then again, I'm the rare type who can easily enjoy her own company if it were to come down to that.

I just got done wacthing videos on the heart function of the human body, I got to wonder as a paramedic student. That the design of the heart as two pumps has to be designed, it is very complicated as to why it functions, and with common engineering knowlege I cant for the life of me believe it envolved, no I think some on made it and it shows another pathway to God who designed it. your thoughts please

Well, my nephew isn't, but this boy is a really mean kid. He is constantly calling my nephew 'f *****', and saying that he gives b.j.'s to other boys.I can't believe how this kid acts, and he is only 12 years old! My question is-do you think that this bully could be gay himself and is just angry and confused? That's what I kind of think, but I figured that I would ask you guys on here for your opinions. Well, for example, my friends bf mother unfortunately had come down w/cancer on tongue [6 yrs. ago]
she had quit smoking YEARS ago.
anyway, she had to have her tongue removed but wrote down on a peice of paper to her stepson, it was "the best thing that ever happened to her in the long run, because now she see's everyday as a blessing, and feels/gives love to other's more deeply." [which b4 she wasn't like that at all. her disability changed her as a person within, and she's happier on many other levels than beforehand]
IF YOU have a disability, what has it taught you that you can TEACH OTHER'S who aren't so greatful in some area(s) in life??
