I was hoping someone could give me a rundown on Methodist beliefs. I am trying to make an informed decision when choosing a religion for my family. Serious answers only please.

Jules,
Send me a note with your personal email address and I will look for a Microsoft WORD file that has a nice Rundown on all of the Major Denominations around the country. I attend a Non-Denominational Church which uses ONLY the BIBLE as its guide. We do NOT use any man-made creeds in it. Have a wonderful evening and a glorious week.
Thanks,
Eds

I grew up Methodist.
I seriously can't believe you would think that information on this forum would be accurate enough to help you decide on a religion.
Do your research at the churches themselves and read some books that the leaders recommend to you for learning about their faith.
Whatever religion you pick, be smart about it. Be truly informed as well as being used to the service. Visit different churches within each denomination... the leadership determines the focus of each church. And above all, find out about the history of that church and who they respect as the founders. Find out why they are Protestant instead of Catholic. Find out what beliefs have changed since the founding of the church. Find out what they believe about key passages in the Bible. Find out what missions they support, what charitable works they do. Find out whether their youth group is vibrant, active, and growing. Get to know the Sunday school teachers.
This isn't a decision to take lightly, so take the study of it off of YA.

You seem to be asking a lot of questions about some of the older protestant faiths. I suggest looking into the Episcopalians. If I ever had to become a Christian again that is the faith that seems the most appealing to me.

"Methodists are like Baptists who can read."

Can you guess the movie?

But seriously, you don't need a religion.
