a) When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

b) I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

c) I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

d) Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Who can clarify? Why can’t I own Canadians?

e) I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?

It seems like Christianity has survived over the years mainly due to a strong tradition(my mothers mother was christian, my mother is christian, and then passed on to me).

Does "perfect" mean what most Christians on Earth consider to be perfect based on their culture and codes? What God considers to be perfect? What those who enter heaven will come to realize is perfect once they are (ideally) relieved of their stupidity and deceptions? What each person individually believes to be their personal heaven?

If the last is true, then can a person really find solace in a reality that is only their own (thus an illusion?) and no real communion with others?

Maybe "perfect" lies in the enjoyment of being progressively better than others and improving towards being those who we deem more perfect, thus we should never collectively reach a state of perfection?

Does "perfect" factor in boredom?

We all know he came to America after he was crucified. Did Jesus visit other planets?

Astronomers have calculated that there are 140 billion galaxies in the visible universe, and according to Carl Sagan the number of probable planets in our universe is 10 billion trillion! If only a fraction of these support intelligent life, did Jesus, as God incarnate, visit all of them and did he die for the sins of extraterrestrial creature?

a slave for life?

Exodus 21:6 (CEV)
Then he must stand beside either the door or the doorpost at the place of worship, while his owner punches a small hole through one of his ears with a sharp metal rod. This makes him a slave for life.

I feel very strongly about being an American. Sometime I even feel that I am better than others because i'm an American, despite all my short commings. Is this a bad thing?

I asked in a previous question if it was evidence of intelligent design that an amoeba, one of the most primitive and earliest life forms on this planet, contains enough specific instructions in it's DNA to fill an entire 30 volume set of Encyclopedia Britannica.
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aq9zonfa4GVosltyGC2FSnPsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20070910125516AA2sYOe

The answer that I got from one person was that Amoebas are actually a product of 2 billion years of evolution.

I have to wonder how in the sam scratch you could anyone know that? Did a biologist make this up one day "oh yeah 2 billion, that's a nice round number - who can argue with that?"

Or did a biologist look at the complexity of DNA and say "there is NO WAY this could have evolved! But if I say that in my paper I will be laughed out of the university... Wait. If I postulate "billions and billions" of years there's no way you can argue with that..... right?"

I thank God everyday for this. But I do feel sorry for those poor Amazonian and African tribes that haven't heard about Jesus and have to go to Hell forever because of it. Oh well.

My wife and i used to go to kings church in staines. one day we found our pastor was not a man of God. he lied to us in front of other members of the church about our up comming marrige. later he recanted it saying he never made this promise to us. he said i was mistaken. i called the others presant to confirm his promise.

then i called the pastor back and spoke to him about the matter. he became furious, told my wife and i we could no longer come to church, his word can not be qusetioned. he made our life horrible. one day just before we got married at the weybridge registry. his wife called and abused us for half an hour, the most foul language. called us false christians.

later he denouced us in church. untill he was finally found out, he was asked to apologise to the church members which he refused to do. he was finaly asked to leave no member of the church ever came to help us.

if this is christianity we will look for something else. he was like a false profit

I have been really stressed lately. There is too much going on in my life. For instance:
My parents are getting married. I will have to move because of it. My grandma is in the hospital because of circulatory system. She's not getting blood flow to the brain. My step mom is on dialisis. My dad is having heart attacks. My aunt's are looking for jobs in Michigan. We have one of the worst economies right now. My friend's are fighting because of something that happened over the summer and I want nothing to do with it. and today I had to turn down a chance to marcch on Central Michigan University's Football field because of my parents' wedding (which I can't miss because I am the maid of honor). This is all very depressing. We are low on income too in my family and its hard to watch my family struggle.

Now its your turn. What has been going completely wrong in your life. Just want to blow up? I do too so join in with me and SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Muhammad was alone in a cave when the angel first came to him. He was afraid and initially thought he was a poet or possessed if I remember correctly. This can make people wonder if he really was possessed. I think you are able to understand why someone could believe that.

I would really like to hear some honest, faith-filled opinions, not Koran quotes, as to why you believe. Why do you believe Muhammad is the last prophet? Why do you believe as you do?

I am really trying to understand Islam. I'm not trying to insult, just inquire, but we rarely get heartfelt answers. I know many Muslims are very defensive right now and some have a right to be. I know everyone can just say, "It's faith!" and that's good. I am just hoping to hear some personal testimonies.

Thank you very much!
