My wife and i used to go to kings church in staines. one day we found our pastor was not a man of God. he lied to us in front of other members of the church about our up comming marrige. later he recanted it saying he never made this promise to us. he said i was mistaken. i called the others presant to confirm his promise.
then i called the pastor back and spoke to him about the matter. he became furious, told my wife and i we could no longer come to church, his word can not be qusetioned. he made our life horrible. one day just before we got married at the weybridge registry. his wife called and abused us for half an hour, the most foul language. called us false christians.
later he denouced us in church. untill he was finally found out, he was asked to apologise to the church members which he refused to do. he was finaly asked to leave no member of the church ever came to help us.
if this is christianity we will look for something else. he was like a false profit

Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus - The Author and Perfector of your faith!
Many Christians fall away from churches (myself included) because of the hurtful ways of supposed 'men and women of God'! However, that does NOT mean that you need to turn away from Jesus because of human frailty! The world is full of Christians who walk closely with and love Jesus daily - yet never go near a church!
Remember, one day this man and his wife will have to stand before God and explain their actions towards you - as will every unrepentant church leader who has driven God's children away instead of taking responsibility for their actions!
Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and continue your walk with Him in Faith in Him! That is what will get you into Heaven, not any church leader!!!
One contributor to your question did baffle me slightly, but...
you don't have to be American to call your church leader pastor! I'm pretty certain that the baptist churches call their leaders pastors and certainly some of the free churches do!
I pray that Jesus will bring His Peace into the hearts and minds and spirits of yourself and your wife and Bless you all the days of your life with His Presence!

This is not Christianity, it is something else.
Follow after God, follow after Jesus, follow after the Holy Spirit, but by all means never ever follow after a man.
Read in the bible, it tells how community gatherings are to be conducted, this pastor should of been confronted by you in front of the whole congregation.
Jesus is the true church, he is not a building down the street, those who believe and have faith in him are the members of this church.
Not everyone who calls their selves Christian is a Christian, you will no them by their works, your pastor made it obvious to you didn't he?

This is no more than another human being being pig headed, no human is perfect, they only pretend to be. He is not true to his faith, from what you have said he has placed himself higher than God by telling you that you can not enter the house of God. He is the false one, so don't take it to hard, and rely on faith in God rather than man made religion. religion was brought about as a good idea, but then man saw a way of controlling others and has done so ever since.
Have faith in God not religion

unfortunatly their are poeple like that and they can and have got away with it if the congregation know what happened and the church heads have appologised at least something happened i have heard of this and the people had to leave town and it was years before anything was remotely put right, count you blessings but if you feel you are a christian stay with it don't turn your back just becouse of this one man, I'm not a christian but I feel everyone should stick to what they believe and if they don't believe it move on. but dont let that nasty little man win by denouncing your faith becouse of this

considered this earlier. He under no circumstances fairly proved something earlier, and favourite somewhat some ideals at face fee, and as quickly as those ideals succumbed to talk, he "threw out the toddler with the bathwater" because it have been. It shook his faith, which improve into lacking. i've got considered somewhat some former ministers improve into atheistic or agnostic as a result. They parent that, if there have been a God, He could have considered them during the trial, however the trial improve into their theory in issues that weren't genuine. .

Not all Christians are like that; many are decent... but not all. There are a small but significant percentage of close-minded, arrogant, hateful Christians.
Find a path that's right for you, but don't judge all Christians by that pastor.

Yes, I also encourage you to look for something else then Christianity: Christ himself. Stop looking at those who hart you, stop looking at those who do mistakes for you only know how many times you mistake also. Start looking at Christ.
Those are tribulation times when more and more will fail. But you stay on a solid ground.

Not every priest is decent just like anything else, if you truly believe though then it's God that's important plus that God is love - not hatred, lies or anything bad, I'm sorry to read what happened to you

Dear Callum I highly suspect your story is made up. Looking at your previous questions I think your trying to pretend your not American yet come across as sounding quite American. You may not be aware that in Britain the word pastor is not used unlike America, it's minister, father or Reverend but never pastor. I suspect this is the meanderings of a young boy waiting to loose his virginity frankly!
